Malling...

Yesterday (Monday) naka-leave ako sa office kasi I have my check-up sa Perpetual and after the sked, sumama kami sa ATC since na-miss ko na din pumunta dun, magkikita sila kuya bing at tta nene dun with Lola and my bro.

- Songbook (as you requested) and Daily bread for tta leris
- Meron din yatang biniling damit si Tta ne sa Greenhills for all of you.

Kami naman, naiwan sa ATC and I also have some errands to do with the bank so we decided to go to SM southmall, habang nagpapa-print ako ng sangkatutak na pictures, we just do window shopping after doing transaction with the bank.

We try Reyes barbecue kasi I heard na its newly opened saka masarap daw.

My comment about the food: Masarap naman kaya lang if you’re going to eat there all the time, masyadong nakakasawa. Pero since it’s our first time there, humirit pa kami ni Badz ng extra rice! Hehe (“patay-gutom”)

After we ate, bumili lang kami ng diaper ni Tami sa Baby section and photo albums sa NBS then binalikan naming yung pics but we have to stay there for more than 20mins kasi hindi pa tapos yung developing of pics (ang dami ba naman eh!), 3 sets kasi yun: yung trip, swimming sa batangas with Badz family since it’s his dad’s bday) and our dining out sa MOA)

It’s all worth the hassle and expenses na din because the pictures turned out so well and after checking the pics, we go home na.

Duty Free

6:00 am - Arrival of Lola from California, USA. Nadelay daw ang dating ng plane because of the emergency landing sa Guam.

Ang mga sumundo na naghintay ng almost 3 hours sa Airport: My brother, kuya bing, tta ne, tta baby and Lola dely.

9:00am - We just headed to Tta Emma’s house, Badz was not there because he has to report to his work (*sad*). Tta Emma cooked Lugaw with tokwa’t baby for our breakfast and crab for our supposed to be lunch but since it’s almost noon, we take our brunch na and super kwentuhan na with the trip and stay with the Cantos family in California, USA.

1:30pm - After the mega-kwentuhan and pakitaan ng pictures, we opened the 2 Balikbayan boxes for the pasalubong..

*** Drum rolls ***

At ang laman ng mga box ay:

- 3G iphone for Cousin Che / Another fone for my bro
- Bebe clothes for Aunts and Cousins
- Coach Bag for Tta ne
- Liz Claiborne Bag for me
- Gap Bag for Lola (panalo ang bag ni lola!)
- Banana Rep Perfume for Lola also
- Limited edition Starbucks cup and Converse slippers for kuya bing
- Lots of signature clothes and shoes for cousins
- Syempre and sangkatutak na chocolate, vitamins at Victoria Secret cologne and lotion (pambenta ko sa ofc yung VS)

- Mawawala ba naman ang pasalubong ni Tami: Disney Stuff from Disneyland (Tuwang-tuwang sya sa stuff toy na Mickey Mouse na halos kasing-laki nya), lots of clothes, Apple ipod at Bratz doll

To Kit: fyi, saktong-sakto sa kanya yung RL pants and blouse..yung iba hindi ko pa nata-try isukat, yung Old navy na padala nyo last year until now hindi nya pa nagagamit kasi malaki pa…

3:00pm - Lola wanted to go to Duty Free (as always) kaya after the distribution of pasalubong. Kahit pagod na, ok lang, after that, kumain kami ng Bibingka sa Food court (*yum*, how I miss the bibingka, siguro huling kain ko non last Xmas pa).

question! question!

Actually, I'm trying to keep sane here. It’s 1:10am and I'm here in the office with a handful of petiks time. No games to play. No person to message. No music to hear except for the voice of the other agents. Me? just eating Cornbits while blogging! hehe

Can’t think of a better title to this blog…

Question: Which date kami dapat mag-celebrate?September 12 that we become couple or October 23 that we tied the knot?

It's our 9th year being together today. He remember the date while were having our dinner earlier, tinanong pa ko kung may naalala daw ako sa date na September 12.. Sabi ko wala, then he reminded me na it’s our 9th year of being together. After being together for 9 long years we couldn't be any happier for we have a wonderful daughter, good jobs and a nice home. Since this is one of our important dates, I decided to cook for him (as always, kahit laging palpak! Haha). But this one is good, ok naman ang lasa…I just planned Pork Steak but it turned-out Adobo (good for me huh!?!). At least I tried….Next time be kain na lang ulit tayo sa labas….Hehe

umagang nakakainis..

At sa tuwa ko, kinunan ko sya ng picture and she tries to make a pose!! (mana sken...)

As the Wikipedia says: Tinapa is the Filipino term for a fish
cooked/preserved through the process of smoking. This is a
native delicacy in the Philippines and is often made from
milkfish, which is more locally known as bangus.

Tinapa with calamansi, sinangag, juice – There is nothing like dipping a morsel of smoked or dried fish into some favorite vinegar (but I use calamansi instead of vinegar) and consuming it with copious amounts of steamed rice, typically for breakfast! siguro last na kain ko ng tinapa is nung college pa ko.

Sunday (Sep14)

· Over the past long weekend, I was finally granted to do a room cleaning after a year of not doing so. I had to dispose some clothes, documents and other stuff to give way for the new ones.

· When Badz woke up, niyaya nya akong maglaro ng Badminton, buti n lang patapos na din ako sa pag-aayos ng closet namin kaya I still have time to play (mega-pawis nanaman to kaya before we play, nagtimpla na ako ng juice para after we play we will have our breakfast na.

· After bathing, natulog muna ako before I go to SM to pay my bills (my Sunlife insurance and globe postpaid). Badz said that I should go to ATC instead of SM kasi need ko daw syang ibili ng flip-flops kasi nasira na yung old slippers nya. So I said i-try nya yung Ipanema kasi yun ang meron sa SM (tinatamad kasi akong pumunta ng ATC), ayaw nya kasi wala lang, mas gusto pa rin nya yung havaianas…DUH!!! Pareho lang naman yun!!!

· When Im off to mall, nagtext skin pinsan ni Badz, sakto naman at nasa mall din sila kaya sila ang nakasama ko sa ATC, before we go to ATC, dumaan muna ako sa Southmall to deposit at BDO and also to pay my bills. I had to stick with the schedule and the items that I need to buy kasi I will ended up buying items na hindi naman kailangan.

· At ATC, konti lang ang tao kaya hindi masyado mainit, we go straight to flip-flips outlet and buy slippers, sayang walang kasya kay Tami na new design kasi yung havaianas ni Tami parang malapit ng hindi magkasya sa kanya. Then we go to Mango and folded & hung to look for a gift for my Supervisor. After buying we just ate at Tokyo-Tokyo.

· Before we decided to go home, Badz cousin wanted to go to Daiso because there are a lot of other interesting stuffs and the items are priced P88 only so it's quite tempting to buy a lot. But focus. The reason why we're going there is to save not to splurge. Haha.. I just bought Pigeon na parang Downy, sobrang mura ska ok naman daw ang quality, slippers na pang-bahay.

another baby?

Kaninang umaga when we’re in bed and playing with Tami, I heard Badz (talking to Tami) “Kawawa ka naman tami, wala kang kapatid, ayaw na ng mama mo eh”. As if maiintindihan sya…At some point tinamaan din naman ako dun, humarap ako sa kanila and said “Ok maybe next year”, hindi ko alam bakit bigla kong naisip na sabihin yun..Is that I want another child or maybe gusto ko lang pasayahin si Badz? There are some reasons kung bakit ayoko muna, syempre ang hirap ng buhay ngayon, ayoko naman dumating yung point na namamalimos na ko just to have our food (exag!!!) hehe… Basta bahala na, if God's will then why not, after all it's a blessing....

our decision...is it right?

After I gave birth, we put up a Computer Shop business near Perpetual School. My husband and I were full time hands-on with the business, the routine is Im the morning shift and he is the night shift. I have been blessed to work from home full-time running our business. The income is good, lahat ng expenses namin since I gave birth sa shop namin kinukuha, kahit malaki ang expenses monthly, we make sure na may idedeposit kami monthly sa savings namin.

After 1 year with the business, I feel bored with the everyday routine we do kaya I talk to my hubby na parang I miss working kasi kahit malaki ang kita ng shop, parang hindi ko ma-feel yung fulfillment kasi iba yung nagwo-work ka in a company and you’re contributing something. Then pumayag sya na mag-work ulit ako. After a week, I decided to apply in a BPO company, since we all know that BPO company gives high pay and also fringe benefits, yun nga lang you have to work at night since call centers caters the US market so we have to follow their time, then I get hired in a BPO company, of course night shift, from 10pm to 7am.

After a couple of months of working, Badz is the only one who handles the shop, it seems na parang everyday exhausted sya kasi he has to attend the shop for more than 15 hours a day, parang halos hindi na kami nagkikita. He will open the shop at the morning tapos pauwi pa lang ako from office, pagpasok ko naman wala pa sya, as in grabe yung time nya sa shop, tuwing weekend I have to go there just to see him and to know what’s going on with the business.

It took almost a year na ganon yung situation namin, there were times na iniisip ko na ibenta na lang yung shop para maging ok lahat and then the time comes when I made up my mind, we talked about it seriously since almost 2 years na din yung shop and we heard that we need to upgrade all the pc’s every two years so gastos na nman, its so hard to just let go of it since its been with us for years and pinaghirapan namin yun, sabagay we have to let go sometimes lalo na pag di na rin maasikaso and parang nkakaawa nman bebe ko, since kumita na rin kami for 2 years and we already have savings from income of the shop, we both agree to sell it, after a month of looking for the prospect buyer, hindi naman kami nahirapan kasi the location of our business is good, the buyer bought the shop for P200,000, not that bad kasi almost 2 years na din naman and 85% of the capital returns to us, kumita na kmi nabawi pa namin yung capital.

Badz decided to apply also in a BPO company, good thing he was hired on a first time interview. He’s now enjoying working in an international company and Im also happy with the decision we made kasi ngaun we’re both working, earning a good salary and have those benefits that all people wanted to have as an employee.

Now tell me, tama ba yung decision namin?

** BER ** months na!!!

Since BER months na, ushering in events and festivities leading to the Christmas season. We prepare for the holiday rush, despite having problems. When I woke up last Monday, I heard radio stations started playing Christmas carols and even the television shows everything related to Christmas (masyado namang excited pero nakakatuwa kasi iba talaga yung spirit of Christmas!).

Apart from Christmas, there are still events that are much awaited which includes OKTOBERFEST, the beer drinking festival in October. It’s usually associated with beer drinking gatherings with friends and also street-partying. Another is the ALL SAINTS and ALL SOULS DAY where we pay homage to our departed loved ones.

But for us, the most anticipated events of the year take place in December, when Christmas day and New Year’s eve are celebrated. These are the time of the year when families and old friends holds reunion and foes sometimes become friends again. Like for us, our family (Silverio) always gather when Christmas and this are all we look forward every year kasi sobrang saya.

For me, some highlights for the Christmas celebrations are:

1. the tradition of simbang gabi where we attend mass. Before when Im single, sa Catholic kasi madaling-araw ang simbang gabi but when I get married, Protestants holds their simbang-gabi at night, around 8pm to 10pm then after that there are foods to eat.

2. the faithful feast on native delicacies such as puto-bumbong (my fave), suman, bibingka and hot tea…**yum**

3. the gift giving of course while we chit-chat with are love ones and even friends.

So since ber na, aside from being excited of the holidays coming, we all know that it is also the expensive season because we have to buy gifts for our inaanaks, aunts, cousins and other relatives. Thanks to the bonus and 13th month pay! Hehe..

SM southmall 3-day sale

We (me, tami, yaya, sean, mama and papa) just arrived from SM Southmall. We attend the mass and decided to drop by SM before heading home. Its 11:00am and OMG! I felt it was as if Christmas is just around the corner. We even passed by the route where we thought would be convenient for us. But we were wrong. Traffic was really terrible! I love to shop, window-shopping too. I wanted to buy a pair of pants, but no! I couldn't bear the fitting room queue. Maybe next time. Haha!

Since sobrang daming tao, wala pa kaming 1 hr sa mall Tami really felt sleepy so they decided to go home, naiwan lang akong mag-isa kasi badz texted me to wait for him because he’s going there with his teammates, kahit na antok na ko wait pa rin ang beauty ng lola mo! Then 2pm, when they arrive, naghiwa-hiwalay na din sila, kumain n lang kami ni badz sa Tokyo-tokyo since we’re both hungry na. After that kwentuhan muna kme then we shop na.

After spending money for this day, No regrets, though. Badz bought Tami an Elmo stuff toy at toy kingdom, kahit na expensive, ok lang sa knya, just to see her daughter happy. Spent almost whole day of roaming, window-shopping, and arrghh, buying items at SM Southmall's 3-day Sale. No wonder, we came home, rather, I came home with an empty wallet.

The items we bought:
Elmo Stuff Toy at toy kingdom
Mossimo shirt for badz
Mossimo blouse for me
Lee shirt for Badz
Baby Guess dress for Tami
Baby Guess shirt (for a gift)
Baby Guess blouse (also for a gift)
2 Oshkosh skirt (1 for tami and 1 for a gift)
Diaper for Tami

Shuttlecock

Badz & I got excited to go home and took the traffic scene off our minds. And because of all the people out shopping, I was already dizzy so Badz wanted to make me feel okay. We just bought 2 boxes of Pizza Hut para na din pasalubong sa house at the same time almost dinner na din naman.
