Yum Wraps Kiosk

Everyday during our break, we always look for something to eat, nakakasawa na kasi yung food sa cafeteria and then one time, my officemate saw the ad in one of the board saying there's a new kiosk coming soon in our cafeteria.

Last week, we already saw this new kiosk called Yum Wraps, upon looking at the booth you will know already what they serve. This really looks like Plato wraps with the same menu. I decided to give it a try one time.

I waited across the kiosk and took some pics while the attendant is preparing my wrap. Pita bread is heated in an iron press for about a minute and then stuck the ready filling and added some veggies like tomato and cucumber slices.

I dont know where is this for? I am shy to ask.. hehe

sorry for the blury picture, i used my so low-end fone... hehe

I go for the safe menu, tuna. Looks not yummy? That was what I thought so, too. But you have to taste it for yourself. Well, not really that grand but enough to keep you coming back. It's also affordable to the pocket.

FYI. Pita bread comes in 3 types: the regular pita, the wheat wrap and the Pesto wrap, the last 2 i've yet to try, maybe next time.

Anion Sanitary Napkin

Have you heard of the Lovemoon's Anion Sanitary Napkin? I first heard it in one of the Jessica Soho show.

And after watching the video in Youtube, i was really amazed of the result to the boy. After that, i was looking for this sanitary napkin on where to buy and how much.

According to Lovemoon's site:

Love Moon - Anion Sanitary Napkin (Pad) is a tech product in this modern world, the Anion (Negative Ion) Chip in Love Moon Anion Sanitary Napkins can release up to 5,800-6,070 Negative Ion (Anion) per cubic cm. The intensity of Negative Ion (Anion) released will effective suppresses the survival and multiplication of bacteria on the sanitary napkin. Anion (Negative Ion) in Anion Sanitary Pads can help regulate body functions such as antibacterial capabilities, deodorization, through purely physical processes. Love Moon Sanitary Napkin is the first and only hygienic antibacterial sanitary napkin in the market today. Helps women to prevent bacterial multiplication, eliminates odor and promotes comfort during menstrual period.

The price was really high considering its only a napkin. Price of the Pantiliner is P300.00 and same with the ordinary napkin. Hubby's cousin who has a doctor friend coincidentally offered me this napkin and i am glad that i didnt have to look somewhere else. Until now im using it.

With constant use, i can say it does good to me. I have really slow menstrual period and i always have 3 days period only and when i started using this, it became normal and sometimes i dont feel any menstrual crumps.

Have you heard of this product?

Uniwide Warehouse Mall

After going to HBC, i headed to Uniwide to window-shop. For those who dont know about this. This warehouse is full of merchandise, you just have to look for nice and fab items. When we transferred here in our apartment, we bought some in Uniwide Warehouse club like the trash can, laundry clips, hangers etc and i also bought some stuff for Tami's party favors here.

Goods are so cheap here. Im planning to go back here for some items that is nice for display in our future house. Just wanna share to you guys what caught my interest:

Cookie Jar

I think its PhP 199.00. Cute isn't it?

Lampshades...

Jars..

Vases..

Lots of Jars and vases...

Big Jars that are nice for living room display..

This is what im looking for. According to my cousin (Kuya Bing will be my interior design to our future house). The design of our house is perfect for asian/zen theme design. So i started looking for furnitures and other design that is perfect our theme.

Cute piggy banks...

Cookie Jar again. Im going to buy these next time..

After satisfying myself in window shopping, i went to Starmall to buy merienda for hubby and me. Hubby texted that he wants KFC so i bought the meal for him.. I also bought 2pcs empanada in Yumpanada kiosk for me.

Our merienda..

After eating our merienda, i took picture of what i bought in the Uniwide:

Toiletries pouch

Stick-on pads

Mickey Mouse album

I bought this so i can put tami's 5th birthday party photos here.

Go visit Uniwide Warehouse mall and for sure you'll love it especially if you need party favors, there are lots of toys and other stuff there and super cheap pa!

Yumpanada = Yummy Empanada

Everytime im in the bus on my way home from work (around 3pm), i always think of pasalubong or merienda for all of us. Hubby always arrive early because of his sked of 6am to 2pm while my sked is at 6am to 3pm that's why he's always hungry and craving for something kaya parang its a must to buy merienda.

Last week (i think Wednesday), i went to Starmall for pasalubong, naumay na ko sa Master Siomai, Shawarma and Pancit in SM Center so i look for something that i seldom eat and that's empanada that i saw in Starmall weeks ago. To be honest, im not into empanada and its my first time to buy empanada in Yumpanada kiosk.

Yumpanada Kiosk

Since im new to this yumpanada, i ask the attendant to give me the best seller and i got Ham and Cheese, Chunky Chicken, Chili Beef and the Tuna.

4 pcs in a box

Sakto for us. Will taste all the flavor and see what's yummy.

Tami with the Tuna empanada

I gave the tuna empanada to Tami because the bread is soft. But after 2 bites, she gave it to me and said "hindi masarap".

I ask hubby to taste the tuna empanada and he also didn't like it. See his reaction? Sumimangot because he dont like it.

I ended up eating the remaining tuna empanada and i liked it.

The remaining empanada in Ham and Cheese and Chunky Chicken. I gave the Chili beef flavor to the yaya and according to her masarap naman daw, super anghang lang. hehe

My Tuna empanada. Full of fillings.

I gave the Ham and cheese to Tami because she likes eating cheese. And she almost ate the half of it which is very unusual of her, i guess she liked it.

Hubby ate the Chunky Chicken pero hindi nya naubos. According to him, the chicken chunks are so dry that it became bland to his taste.

Anyway, Yumpanada for me is good, at P16.00 each it can fill my grumbling tummy :)

Have you tried it?

Hair Treatment from HBC

Yesterday (sat) i was alone in the house because hubby reports to work and tami and her yaya join my inlaws in Laguna for swimming. After completing my posts from Tami's birthday, i waited hubby then leave for Uniwide Mall.

Two weeks ago, one of my officemate/friend told us that she uses this Black Pelan from HBC, her hair is soft and shiny because of this hair treatment. After emptying my Loreal and Cream Silk Hair Treatment, i decided to go to HBC and look for this Black Pelan that my officemate uses. My other teammate tried this Black Pelan already and according to her it makes her hair soft also that's why i am really intrigued with this product.

So i went to Uniwide when hubby arrived from work. Good thing it was opened that day.

Different kinds of hair treatment that i bought from HBC. I learned that this Black Pelan and others are from Hortaleza Professional. According to my officemate, she tried it all but stay with the Black Pelan. Hiyang daw kasi sya dun.

Just wondering if this hair treatment is also the product of the Hortaleza that sells beauty things or things uses in Manicure and Pedicure? Is it exclusive only to HBC stores?

Black Pelan

This contains Black Pelan silt - an organic substance which is rich in minerals and lipids. Its botanical and mineral components condition the hair and scalp for a healthier scalp and smoother and shinier hair. Its also formulated with Jojoba oil and Vitamin E to make hair healthy.

Coco Milk Hot Oil Treatment

This helps restore luster and shine to dull and damaged hair. Its intensive moisturizing formula conditions hair and scalp to give healthier and glossy hair.

Hair Spa Treatment

It is formulated to help revive damaged hair. Ideal for color-treated hair and hair that has undergone rebonding, straightening and relaxing treatments.

I think this is perfect for me... Will try this next week.

Keratin Hot oil Treatment

This helps restore moisture and replenish protein to hair that has lost its elasticity due to heat styling, excessive combing or exposure to harsh chemicals. This hair revitalizing treatment cream is also formulated with Vitamin E to help nourish scalp and make hair shiny and soft.

I tried the Black Pelan this morning and i think it has good results. Each sachet can use twice. You just have to apply it to a towel dry hair and if you have shower cap put it on for a few minutes before rinsing. And its really cheap! Would you believe that each sachet costs only P11.00? Yes it is! Super mura diba? San ka pa!

And they also have promo running now. If you want to have a moment with Papa P, go buy at HBC amounting to P200.00 for a chance to win a trip to Bora!

Kala ko magiging kasing-ganda ni Papa P yung promo... hehe

I learned a lot from my officemates on where to buy cheap clothes etc, they knew all the things with cheap prices that has good qualities. I wonder what's next.

Ate Tata's Birthday

Last thursday was the birthday of tami's yaya and i didn't know it, i just read from her post in FB that its her birthday. When i arrived in the office, i texted and call her to get PhP 1,000 from my wallet in our cabinet and instructed her to buy cake in Red Ribbon and ingredients for Pancit Bihon so she can invite some of her friends to our house and celebrate her birthday.

She texted me back after 2 to 3 hours and she told me that she already bought cake from Red Ribbon and ordered Pancit Bihon in Aling Lucy's Panciteria near Red Ribbon.

Red Ribbon's White Forest - its her choice of cake.

She took this pic for my blog, since i was in the office, they celebrate her birthday here in our apartment with her friends. When i arrive, she told me that she make fruit salad again from the Remaining fruit cocktail and milk on my canned goods display.

The remaining pancit bihon when i arrive.

They were about to leave then because its Maundy Thursday and they joined my inlaws in going to church. Since hubby and i was tired from work, we stayed in the house and ate our dinner.

Fashionista Tami

Using her new Hello Kitty bag..

Tired of waiting...

We were about to dinner when tami munches on the remaining cake.

I like Aling Lucy's Pancit bihon, full of veggies and its really tasty. I also liked the White forest from Red Ribbon, buti na lang tinirhan nila ko... Dami kong nakaing pansit that time. Even hubby was full from ate tata's birthday food.

Happy Birthday Ate Ta...

Expenses for a Budgeted Kid's Party

Budget is the most important thing we considered in giving our daughter her 5th birthday party. As much as we wanted to give her a bonggang party, its not possible during these times because we are still saving up for the interior of our future house. But we still give her the party that she wants, only on a budget and most of it is a do-it-yourself thing-y.

I want to share how it goes for some mommies thinking of having a kiddie party on a budget. Will put all the cost for my daughter's 5th party so you can have an idea for every detail of the party.

VENUE. With my daughter's 5th party, we chose to held it in my in-laws house. The party was supposed to be in Mcdonalds but they want it in the house for some reasons like the time, we all know that partying in some known establishment has limited time only and they dont want it, hubby also want it in the house because all his agents went there and they have drinking session after. Maybe on Tami's 7th party will be outside na.

INVITATION. Invitation will give the idea of the birthday's theme so might as well design it the way you want it. There are lots of ways on how to have a nice invitation. Of course bonggang invitation means high price. If you know someone who knows adobe photoshop (the easy way), ask them to design your invitation so you can have the theme and design you want. In my case, my cousin design the invitation and i have it printed in photoline shop in SM that cost P7.00 each.

(30pcs x 7.00 = PhP 210.00)

PARTY FAVORS. This is one of the important thing when throwing a kiddie party. There are lots of stores you need to visit in order for you to get all the needs for the party's theme. When my daughters 5th birthday, i went all day to the basement of Divisoria mall just to buy loots for the lootbags, pabitin, game prizes but this does not end then because i have to go to some place like SM and Uniwide to complete all those. I suggest before thinking of a theme for the party, visit Divisoria first to know the "in" characters. With my experience, we chose the Mickey / Minnie Mouse theme party but when i went to Divisoria, all i see was Spongebob, Ben10, Princess because it was the "in" character that time. Thanks to SM and Uniwide because they have Mickey mouse stuff...

Divisoria stuff - PhP 4,500
Uniwide stuff - PhP 958.00
SM stuff - PhP 690.00

Total of Party favors cost - PhP 6,148.00

OTHER PARTY NEEDS. This includes the Clowns, Chairs and tables rental. With all these, i got it from Lobocap Las Pinas, its the nearest party shop in our place and everytime we have an occasion, we always go there.

2 Clowns with free 20 twisting balloons- PhP 2,000
Tables and chairs (adult)  6 sets x 130.00 = PhP 780.00
Kids table and chairs 5 sets x 70.00 = PhP 350.00
Mother Balloon 3 x 40.00 = PhP 120.00
Tip to the clowns = P300.00

Total for the other party needs = PhP 3,550.00

CAKE. Its part of the party already so you have to buy one but we go to the most practical way. My daughter's party cake was the gift of my FIL. Nakakahiya naman kung bibili ako ng mahal diba? So we bought it in Goldilocks. I will not include this on the budget because its not me who pay for it. But for everyone's concern ill put it here, the price of the cake that we bought is only P830.00. Its the biggest in square size and in chocolate chiffon... Wala lang design kaya mura.

FOOD. This is the most expensive part of the party. My first budget was P 6,000 but its really not enough because i have to shell out again to complete the merienda-dinner food and we prepare it to at least 100 pax. This does not include the Spaghetti and Carbonara because it was my MIL's courtesy.

Initial Cash-out = PhP 6,000.00
Second budget = P  1,875.00 (BBQ, Patatim and fried lumpia)
Amber's food delivery = PhP 1,310 (Pancit Malabon, Pichi-Pichi + delivery charge of P150.00)
Grocery = PhP 2,157.00 (grocery for the Fruit salad ingredients, candies and chichiria)
2nd grocery = PhP 458.00 (last minute grocery like additional ribbon and some needs for the salad)

Total cost for the food = PhP 11,800.00

TOTAL COST FOR MY DAUGHTER'S 5TH BDAY PARTY ON A BUDGET:

Invitation = PhP 210.00
Party Favors = PhP 6,148.00
Other Party Needs = PhP 3,550.00
Food = PhP 11,800.00

Total = PhP 21,708.00

This does not include the cost of our birthday outfits, the liquors that hubby bought after the party and some of the little cost on the day of the party. During the party, make sure you have money on your pocket because sometimes there are some emergency needs like tip to the clowns etc.... If i will include the cost of our outfit, the liquors, it costs us almost P30,000.00.

There you have it! You will now have an idea of the expenses of having a budgeted kid's party.

Lenten Season 2011

Its Black Saturday already. Have you visited the church? Did a visita iglesia? Or like us who goes to work on a holy week? Yes! during these times, limited employees are allowed to take a vacation leave and its so sad that i have to report on my work. Even hubby has work until today.

The family will be going to swimming in Laguna. I decided not to join so i can rest here in the house alone. Maybe i will be online the whole day or ill go outside having coffee with friends.

How's your holy week?

Tami's 5th Birthday

Last April 16, 2011, we held the 5th birthday party of my daughter in my in-laws house. It was a 2 weeks preparation and we had the Mickey Mouse theme birthday party. And all i can say is it was such a hit to the kids and my daughter really enjoyed her party. She never get scared of the clowns, she participates in the games and even won once. She's really a grown-up now! It’s insane to me to think that it’s been 5 years since Tami was born. She is no longer a baby … she’s my little girl now.

Here are some photos from the party. Though we dont have a bonggang celebration for her. What important is she enjoyed playing with her classmates and cousins.

The celebrant with the lootbags.

Some of the kids. We took some pics before the Clowns started their games...

If blowing of the candle is not part of the program, I would not bother getting a cake. Cakes are the least touched in almost all the parties i attended to. Party ends and guests say farewell and the cake was still there beautifully placed on the now empty table. Poor cake :(  Going back to party, since I do not want to waste more money, we decided to go the most practical way, buying a simple cake from Goldilocks, and oh by the way, the cake was my FIL's gift to Tami :)

Tami blowing out the candle. This is the part that she's waiting, she'd be wanting to blow a candle on her own party. After the blowing of the candle, the guests started having their merienda.

Tami's bday party food (Merienda-Dinner)
Spaghetti
Carbonara
Pancit Malabon from Amber
Barbecue
Pichi-Pichi from Amber
Cupcakes
Hotdog on stick
Lumpia
Fried Chicken
Grilled Blue Marlin
Kinilaw na Blue Marlin
Patatim
Rice
Fried Lumpia
Beef Kaldereta
Fruit Salad

The kids while listening to the Clowns.

Games

Below are the family pictures:

Me and my little girl..

With some of my officemates

With hubby's agents. Some of hubby's agents went home early. They started drinking liquor at 7PM then transferred to our apartment at around 9PM.

The kids at night. I took this pic around 8pm. The party is almost ended and my daughter is still full of energy.

I love how the DIY party turned out! The advantage of partying in the house is you can stay longer unlike doing it in some known establishment wherein you have to monitor the time because usually it has only 2hrs allowed time.
