Unkabogable Praybeyt Benjamin..

After eating in Pollo Loco and upgrading of the iPhone will took more than an hour, we went in SM Cinema and check the screening schedule of Praybeyt Benjamin, its actually the first day of screening of this movie so we decided to watch na rin kasi nandun na rin kami. We bought tickets and get the 1:45pm schedule.

Praybeyt Benjamin tells a story of a gay son of an ex military commander who was forced to train like a military in order to save the country and his family from a national crisis. -source-

While waiting for the iPhone and movie, we walked around and checked some boutiques, We went to Kultura outlet and check some Christmas goodies, grabe paskong-pasko na sa MOA...

Our tickets...

SM MOA cinema offers Praybeyt Benjamin in one cinema only which is the Premier Cinema, the biggest cinema house of MOA...

After getting the phone, we went to the cinema kasi baka ma-late kami... Nagulat kami sa line... sobrang haba. Its actually our first time to watch a movie on its first day and we didn't expect the crowd to be like this:

While hubby is in line, i went to the Cinema store to buy some food and drinks to munch while watching the movie. We were also thinking na baka paglabas namin meron nung mga taga-media na nagtatanong about the movie... buti naman wala... hehe

Ikaw na talaga Vice ang Unkabogable! Dami mong score kay Derek **inggit** hehe

The next movie na aabangan:

Taken by hubby using his new phone :)

El Pollo Loco in MOA

Sorry for the late post. Ive been busy with overtime in our office including restday ot yesterday. You know naman that i need this overtime pay for the upcoming holiday (christmas). Hubby and i planned of not spending his whole salary for the extension of our house that's why my salary became the budget for the household expenses...

Anyway, i didn't report to work last tuesday because of my grumbling tummy. I dont know if its LBM or what basta masama ang tyan ko... After drinking imodium naging ok na sya :) Hubby and I went to MOA then for the IOS 5 upgrading of his phone and we drop by Power Mac Center and look for a nice case for his iPhone, mahal pala ng Otter case no? So alam na kung san naubos ang pera na budget ko for christmas... sa phone lang nya and its accessories... Ngayon ko lang na-realize na ang mahal palang mag-30th bday tapos sumabay pa ang anniv namin.. Would you believe that we spend more than 70k for that? this does not include hubby's gift to me pa ha kasi di ko alam ang price nun. Take note walang credit card installment yan ha kasi mahirap pag maraming iniisip na bayarin, tama na yung Pag-ibig monthly amortization lang namin ang iisipin namin... And now my christmas budget is gone.. huhu...

Anyway, back to the main focus of this entry, El Pollo Loco :)

Before going to the Power Mac Center in MOA, we had breakfast first in El Pollo Loco. Ive known this restaurant for more than years because one of our ninongs in our wedding is actually the Finance Manager of this company and this will be our first time to eat in the restaurant although ive tried the food in his office before kaya medyo familiar na ko sa menu especially with my fave tortilla and taquitos.

El Pollo Loco, pronounced “L Po-yo Lo-co” and Spanish for “The Crazy Chicken,” is the Philippines' leading quick-service restaurant chain specializing in flame-grilled chicken (the healthiest chicken in town).

El Pollo Loco’s long-term success stems from the unique preparation of its award-winning “pollo”-- fresh chicken marinated in a special recipe of herbs, spices and citrus juices passed down from the founding family. The marinated chicken is then flame-grilled, hand cut and served hot off the grill with warm tortillas and a wide assortment of side dishes.

Through the years, El Pollo Loco has demonstrated a strong commitment to menu innovation, introducing a wide variety of fresh flavorful entrées inspired by the kitchens of Mexico. Along with meals featuring its famous citrus-marinated, flame-grilled chicken, El Pollo Loco favorites now also include made-to-order signature grilled burritos, The Original Pollo Bowl®, Pollo Salads, Tacos al Carbon, quesadillas, Chicken Tortilla Soup and more.

Today, El Pollo Loco Philippines is the nation’s most promising chicken leader with restaurants in Mandaluyong City, Pasay City, and Quezon City.

The chain is expanding nationwide and bringing its delicious fresh, natural flame-grilled chicken and fresh Mexican entrées to people across the nation.

Its too early pa kaya konti pa lang ang diners.

Is this space alloted for parties? Can someone enlighten me?

We were given this flyer and i think the meal is too big for us so we just look in the menu board and choose what is enough for us.

Hubby ordered 2-piece chicken accompanied with Spanish rice and ordered another extra rice.

According to him, Chicken is cooked just right, flame-grilled and not burned to crisp and the meat was tender. Hubby actually liked it but not the rice...

For me naman, i like Pollo loco's chicken maybe because it's quite different with fast food chicken like KFC and Jollibee. Its marinated to herbs and spices and grilled to perfection.

Since im monitoring my tummy i didnt order any heavy meal, instead of chicken and rice, i ordered taquitos.

Our order came with 2 different salsa: Spicy and regular..

I love El Pollo loco's salsa especially with tortilla and taquitos.. Actually eto nga lang ang gusto ko sa El Pollo Loco... hehe

El Pollo is not a really good restaurant but certainly good for a fast food. Affordable meal at its best. As im typing this, i wanna go back now and buy tortilla or taquitos.

My Gift to Hubby..

Ive been canvassing iPhone 4 in MOA 2 weeks before hubby's birthday and our anniversary pero halos wala ring difference yung price with other store. I even called Power Mac Center and Switch store and still the same price. Wala na talaga kong choice but to buy and gave this to hubby :

Apple iPhone 4 in 32 Gig

This will be my anniversary, birthday and christmas gift na rin to hubby... Mahal eh kaya isang regaluhan na lang.. haha

Aside from the price of that iPhone 4 32gig, i also pay another P1,000 for the application, bought screen protector and plastic case... Another thing is the upgrading of IOS 5. That costs a lot kaya wala na kong pang-christmas :(

Nice nga naman ang white color...

After showing it to Tami, she really enjoy playing because the application has lots of games.

See Tami? Hindi makagamit si hubby because of Tami...

Taken while inside the van going to our new house last monday.

Feel na feel ang paglalaro...

Im sure that hubby liked my gift... Kapal naman kung hindi ha... hehe

Breakfast in MakanMakan Asian Food Village

Our overnight stay in Hotel H2O comes with a complimentary breakfast for 2 in MakanMakan Asian Food Village.

The best of Asia's flavors and the ambiance of Singapore's hawker style dining is now in Manila! Indulge in Nasi Lemak, Hainanese Chicken Rice, Satay, Char Kway Teow, Laksa, and other classic Singaporean favorites in Makan Makan Food Village at Manila Ocean Park.

The restaurant embodies the main cultures of Singapore through its diverse cuisines—Chinese, Indian, Thai, Malay, Filipino and even Western. "Makan" is a Bahasa Indonesian term for eating.

Makan Makan Food Village has been steadily getting raves for treating foodies and dining afficionados to a multi-sensory feast. Watch chefs prepare delectable dishes through an interactive performance at their kitchen stations. Enjoy a fusion of fine dining ambiance and hawker stalls as you savor mouth-watering dishes!

After giving our name and room number in the receptionist, we settle to our table across this buffet table para malapit... Alam nyo na ang mga patay-gutom gutom...

The breakfast buffet doesn't offer Nasi Lemak or Laksa but the typical breakfast you can found in the hotels...

Rice, sausages, pancakes, potato balls, pork spareribs, ham etc...

Congee and Wanton noodles and on the upper left is variety of cereals..

Different kinds of breads..

They also have dimsums like asado pao, siomai, chicken and mushrooms and lots of other foods.. Wala lang akong photos nung ibang food kasi nahihiya ako... :(

Nice packaging...

Since im on a diet, i control my food intake and eat lots of fruits...

My yogurt and fruits...

Hubby and our breakfast..

Hubby likes the Pork spareribs because of its tenderness and the sauce. I like naman the hot chocolate... Kulang na lang ang suman to be a perfect combination with the hot chocolate.

Generally, breakfast in Makan Makan were good enough and we ended up really full that i couldn't finish my hot chocolate and potato balls.

Hubby took this picture before leaving the MakanMakan and walk along the Sunset Quay while he smokes.

While walking going out in Sunset Quay, we saw this:

Pero wala naman tayo d2...

Whitemoon Bar Night-out

Hubby and I explore the Manila Ocean Park but we didnt go to Oceanarium because we're also planning to bring Tami there. We went around and see the place. We had light dinner first in Wendy's then went to Whitemoon Bar for a couple of drinks.

Whitemoon Bar is another night spot located inside the Manila Ocean Park facing the Manila Bay where you can order from their selection of beers, cocktails and other liqueurs. Whitemoon Bar isn't the place to come for a nightlife like clubs and bars belting out a techno music but it is a good choice where you can enjoy a cold glass of beer while listening to the music and watching the sunset.

Since its too early pa, we stayed there and listen to the music before ordering our drinks.

I love the Whitemoon Bar in time for sunset. Perfect for picture taking and im sure that all couples will enjoy their quiet and romantic time here.

Whitemoon Bar Menu

Hubby ordered his first two beers..

My first Margarita in Strawberry Flavor. Margarita is my favorite from the cocktail selection.

Enjoying our drinks and the music while kwentuhan. Wala namang ibang magbobolahan dun kundi kami ni hubby. Remember, 12 yrs na kaming nagbobolahan... hehe

After drinking a couple of drinks, we got tipsy na so we decided to stop drinking liqueurs. Rest for a while then took some pics.

Tipsy Hubby

We left the bar around 7:30pm and went back to our room.

Hotbed/Massage in Zenyu Eco Spa

My reason why i want to go in Hotel H2O is because of the Hotbed in Zenyu Eco Spa.

After settling in our room and while hubby is sleeping, i went to Zenyu Eco Spa and im excited to try the first Spa in the Philippines that offers hotbed treatment. Kahit medyo masakit pa ang katawan ko ska ulo ko pumunta pa rin ako because i know that the hotbed is good for the body.

(Please bear with my photos because i used my BB here in Zenyu Eco Spa)

Zenyu eco spa means complete healing in Japanese. Zenyu ecospa does not only offer pampering and relaxation services, but also a healing component through the negative ion hot bed treatment.

This negative ion hotbed is part of the Ecoparadise Deoxidation Center that started in Japan and has branched out to Malaysia and Singapore.

Ecoparadise Japan recognized the power of nature with its studies on negative ions. A clean and fresh environment is free of bacteria and viruses, and has a balance of electrical charges in the soil and the environment.

Capillary Scope

I was given a test and see how my blood circulate and the difference with negative ion. Nakaka-amaze talaga, everyone should try this hotbed.. Now i know why Japanese has healthy bods.

Everyone will be given lockers for your valuables...

The attendant gave me yukata, towel and disposable underwear. Yes you heard it right. Youre going inside the hotbed with the disposable undies and yukatas.

Me after changing clothes... Getting ready for the hotbed..

My locker key..

Me already sitting on the brown bricks...

The hotbed room is made out of bricks and the brown color bricks emits negative ions. The room is like dry sauna but the heat is coming from the floor. Amazing right?

With my towel and water...

By the way, even if its hot inside, you can bring your cellphone and its safe.. Kita nyo naman nakakapag-picture pa ko.

Me sweating like a pig! hehe

After the hotbed i feel so good and nawala sakit ng ulo ko, had massage after the hotbed. I highly recommend the hotbed and I wanna go back in Zenyu Eco Spa.... Calling my office buddies.

For inquiries about Zenyu Eco Spa, you can call (632) 2386190 or (632) 2386100.

Rates:

Hotbed: PhP 400 for 30 to 40 mins.
Massage: PhP 700 for 60 mins.

Anniversary in Hotel H2O

Our anniversary date didnt end in MOA because we spend the night in Hotel H2O located on the 3rd floor of Manila Ocean Park. Its not an impromptu decision because i told hubby last time that we should go to Zenyu Eco Spa in Hotel H2O because i want to try the Hotbed.

Last week, i was looking for rates of Hotel H2O particularly the Bayview Room but i did not book an accomodation then because im thinking of the budget for the party. What we did was we just go walk-in in the hotel hoping that there is available cheaper room.

Arrived in Hotel H2O in time for check-in (2:00pm).

When we arrived in Manila Ocean Park, we went directly to the hotel and we got the Aqua Room. I want sana the bayview room because i think maganda sya facing the Manila Bay but when we saw the Aqua room, maganda din pala and very relaxing.

Hallway going to our room :)

Welcome note on the screen. Nice gesture just like some other hotels...

Our room

modern. Soft, crisp, lush linens and pillows, ultra-comfortable beds

fixtures and designs including a glass wall dividing the area.

laundry and valet services.

I took some pics particularly the bathroom because i really like it. See photos of the bathroom below.

View from outside the bathroom. Nice no? Hubby and I really liked the shower room.

Complimentary Toiletries

Hotel notes, info, restaurant's menu etc...

Taken after checking-in...

Since hubby was still drunk and kulang pa sa tulog, he decided to sleep muna while i went to Zenyu Eco Spa for the hotbed experience and massage. Hubby dont want to go with me because he is tired and experiencing headache.

Picture muna before going to the spa.

I suggest not to go walk-in in a hotel because you might end up paying more just like what we did. Hindi ako nakapagpabook ahead of time thinking na baka mas mura kapag walk-in but i was so wrong. Since we are walk-in, the bayview room that i wanted is not available anymore. We were given Aqua room that time, with no choice we agreed on the rate for an overnight stay but i think its really too expensive.

Aqua Room Published Rate: PhP 11,500.00
Walk-in Rate: PhP 8,540.00
Corporate Account: PhP 4,990.00

Pero ok lang anniversary naman namin and we enjoyed our stay in Hotel H2O.

Happy 6th wedding anniversary to us!
