HK-Macau Trip: Food we ate during our HK-Macau trip

During our HK-Macau trip, one of the important things to look for is the food because we are in a different country and will experience different culture. During our stay, we always had our breakfast in Mcdo or Yoshinoya, we used our Octopus card to purchase our meal in Mcdo and sometimes in 7-11 for our mineral water.

Aside from the usual Mcdo and Yoshinoya, we take our lunch and dinner at different chinese restos, i didnt had the chance to take some pictures of the food because i forgot about my blog that time. hehe. Sorry :)

Like what ive said with my Macau trip post, we had our lunch in Venetian food court, so many choices and we decided to have Braised beef for hubby and Wanton noodles for me. Tami and i shared from my noodles because they give large servings. Price of meals in Venetian food court ranges from HK $60 to $85.

When i remember about my blog, i started to take photos of what we had..Better late than never right? Like in Lantau island where we ate lunch, there are so many food chain lined up in Lantau island and one of them is the Italian gelato named Da Dolce..

My baby chose the strawberry gelato, price is HK $35. When hubby tasted it, he cant help but ask for another flavor because its was so flavorful...

This is the cafe where we order our lunch: Zen Noodle Cafe..

Its obvious that this is Noodle house..

Menu

I forgot the name of this noodle, prices range from HK $45 to $65.00. And i tell you that the servings can be shared by two people.

If you want to have the natural fruit juice aside from the milk tea, never miss trying some fruit stand in Kowloon, they are all over and if youre not a fan of milk tea, you can choose to have the fresh juice.

You will choose what fruit you want like Fruitas here in our country, but in HK instead of having crushed ice, they only serve fresh fruit juice only. No ice and sugar, really.

We always had this orange juice, priced at HK $13 per glass.

We never skipped this stall and order fruit juice to freshen us. I think we had 2 or more glass of order in a day.

Oh, in Macau, dont forget to buy this as pasalubong, the Almond cookies with whole nuts. Its really yummy and were addicted to it.

This box contains 12 pcs only. You can buy as many as you want as long as you can carry all the boxes. hehe.. Price per box is HK $28 or Macau Pataca $32.

HK Trip: Disneyland Hongkong 2010

After shopping at Citygate outlet, we headed to Disneyland as our important itinerary because of the kids and the kids-at-heart...haha..

From Tungchung, we rode the MTR back to Sunnybay then interchange MTR to Disney MTR....The MTR with the Disney design was so cool...

One of the display inside the MTR..

And the handle with the Mickey Mouse design... cool :)

And after 5 to 10 minutes, we arrived at Hongkong Disneyland... my daughter was really happy and cant stop shouting when she saw Mickey Mouse on the signage...

Ticket prices: HK $350 for adults and HK $250 for kids... Beforehand, i emailed Disneyland if they currently have promos but unfortunately the month of July is their summer and its their peak season...

Dont forget to grab the map of the Disneyland and the times guide because it will help
 you around the Disneyland...

First, we went to the souvenir store of Disneyland to look for some nice stuff there. Even my baby has her own basket and she get what she wants... I took some photos of hubby and my baby...

At 3pm, we learned that there is a parade for this summer and the theme was the Summer's party with Stitch and others like...

Goofy...

The little mermaid...

The Genie from Aladdin
dont know the name of this character...

Stitch...

And the party started and they even called the kids to dance in the middle with the dancers...

And my baby was enjoying in the middle with other kids...

After the dance, she was saying she's hungry and want popcorn.. I know she saw this and she wants it thats why shes telling us that shes hungry.. She really like the Minnie shades that we bought in the souvenir store and she wore it all the time...When we had our early dinner at tomorrowland, my baby left her glasses somewhere and we were so sad then...tsk. tsk.

When she got tired, she fell asleep and we just rested and sit in the middle while waiting for the others. She slept for almost an hour and when she woke up, we changed her clothes, roam around, took some pictures, rode the carousel again and waited for the fireworks.

second time at the carousel...

One of the highlights of the themepark was the fireworks. It is set at 8pm so everybody waited in front of the castle and sit on the floor. Fireworks lasted for more than 15minutes...

HK Trip: Giant Buddha in Lantau Island 2010

Giant Buddha is located in Lantau island and you can go there by Ngong Ping Cable Car. From Tsim Tsa tsui, you just ride the MTR going to Lai King, transfer to other MTR going to Tung Chung.. From Tung Chung you just need to walk going to the Cable Car station...

Macau Trip 2010

One of our itinerary is to go to Macau in a day. From our hotel at Tsim Tsa Tsui, we walked along Harbour City until we reached the mall connecting to the pier going to some part of China including Macau. We booked a roundtrip ticket at First Ferry Macau.

First Ferry Roundtrip ticket to Macau is HK $290 each, same rate for adults and kids...

Macau is called Las Vegas of Asia because of the hotels and casinos... Upon arrival in Macau, 3 Filipinos approached us and offer their service as tour guide. Their service costs us HK $100 each and they will accompany and tour you to different tourists spots in Macau and they'll ask you a favor of signing a membership form in one of the casino.. Since its our first time in Macau, we finally agreed to the deal... Oh by the way, tour bus from the casinos are all free so no need to rent a taxi..just hop on one of the bus and you'll free to have a tour in Macau.

Our tour guide brought us first to City of Dreams casino and we were amazed of the structure and the live casino games.. Outside the casino youll see different stores... They also got us a ticket to Bubble Show...

On the entrance of the casino, youll see the giant screen that shows and feel like youre under the sea.. A mermaid will appear every minute and its one of the photo op in the City of dreams...

Never forget to watch the bubble show or the dragon show because its really nice and fun... This 3D show is really cool and youre like in a small cinema with big screen all over.. Here are some pics... Since its too dark inside, it so hard to capture nice pics... please bear..

After the show we went to Venetian Hotel and had our lunch in the Venetian Food Court.

Inside the Venetian...

I love the structure and the design of the Venetian, no wonder it is one of the famous in Macau.. And my favorite show Boys over Flowers took some scenes here...hehe

I forgot to take some pics of what we had during our lunch and what i remember was our meal cost 73 Macau Pataca. You can use Hongkong dollar but their rate is 1:1 (1 hongkong dollar = 1 Macau Pataca). Dont give large bill because if they give you Macau Pataca change, you have to use it in Macau also because Macau Pataca is not accepted in Hongkong.

Never miss this Almond Cookies with whole nut as your pasalubong back home.. This can be found near the Ruins of St. Paul...

Each box consists of HK $28 or Macau Pataca $32..

Almond Cookie with whole nut..

We leave Macau around 9:00 because our return ticket schedule was 9:30pm. We promised to be back in Macau next year because its really nice and cheap there.. We were really tired and fell asleep during our ferry trip.. Before going back to hotel, we bought fresh fruit juice along TST to freshen us before we call it a night..

Next day tour: Lantau Island and Disneyland
