Date with a friend (Shakeys, Serenitea & Tous Les Jours)

The date that my friend and i planned months ago was pushed through last sunday. Ang tagal na kasi nito kaya lang hindi matuloy-tuloy. When she texted me na kung pwede ba daw ako ng Sunday pumayag na ko matuloy lang yung request nya na magkita kami, for old times sake. She will be leaving again for Dubai in a few months and will stay there with her husband and baby for 5 years so matagal-tagal din kaming hindi magkikita.

We met around 3pm and when we saw each other parang hindi kami nag-uusap sa facebook sa dami ng kwento namin about our lives, our friends and reminiscing our college life.

We had our merienda in Shakey's and we continue our chikahan session.  Pag talaga may kasama kang kaibigan hindi mo alam kung ano uunahin nyo, kakain na ba or kwentuhan muna... etc etc... We order Carbonara, Chicken and Pizza and mind you naubos namin lahat yun. hahaha...

This is one of my college friends...

We left Shakey's to transfer place. I brought her to Gong Cha para ma-try nya but the place is full so what we did is we went to Serenitea and check the place. Its also full so we bought na lang our drinks and went to Casa Armas site to see where we can stay..

Our Drinks

Hokkaido for my friend and Okinawa for me :)

My milk tea, bread and my pasalubong to Tami

While going around Starbucks, we saw that Tous Les Jours has vacant seats so we went there and stay. Para hindi naman nakakahiya we bought na rin bread and at the same time cupcakes as pasalubong to my baby.

In Tous Les Jours we talk naman about business.

We left ATC at 9pm. We had really a good laugh last sunday. Hindi maubusan ng kwento kaya nga i love being with friends...

Tous Les Jours Cake

I think this is worth blogging. Another long overdue post. hehe

Remember Tami's birthday? We had an advance birthday celebration in Mcdonalds and when its Tami's actual birthday (April 18) my mother-in-law cooked something for the family like Carbonara, Turbo Chicken and Barbecue and birthdays will not be complete without cake, right?

I went to Southmall then to buy the cake that hubby and i chose when we visited this bakery in Southmall few months ago. Cakes in Tous Les Jours were really cute... Let me show you what we've got:

The packaging.. cute no?

the package comes with a disposable cake knife and free candles..

And here's the cake:

The birthday cake

The cookie that has greetings was actually free at yung nakikita mo sa ibabaw ng cake is real belgian chocolate. According to the attendant, this is one of their bestsellers, nakalimutan ko lang yung name.. Basta may Belgian chocolate ang name.

Candles are free up to 5 pcs. I talked na lang with the manager if i can have an additional 1pc. kasi 6 yrs old na ang baby ko, Buti na lang pumayag sila.

Her favorite part.

The cake

The verdict:

For me, its good kasi its not too sweet though parang may liquor taste sya. The household including Tami didn't like it kasi sobrang moist daw pero para sakin ok naman sya..

I wanna try sana the Strawberry design pero mukang di na ulit mauulit to kasi di nila type :( Pero winner ang mga designs nila.

Price of the cakes ranges from P500 up to P1,500 depending on the design and flavor. The cake that i bought costs around P800++.

Tous Les Jours in Southmall

I have 11 posts on my draft folder and i want to post it na kaya lang im super duper busy kaya wala akong time but now that im sick and nothing to do, ill try to post some of it and let me start with the new one..

After my medical consultation yesterday, i went to Southmall to meet hubby and also to look for a nice bag for my supervisor as our team's xmas gift. I went around and found only expensive bags #talkaboutthebrand. On the back part of the mall (remember the old Supermarket?), there are 2 new opened store which is The Racks and Tous Les Jours.

Hubby and i stared at the store first because with its name i thought it was from UK but would you believe that its Korea's inspired french bakery?

We went inside to try some because they offer free taste for their opening day. The bread are not bad, just like those you found in Breadtalk. Lots of varieties to choose from their pastries and cakes.

I went to the counter to get my order and ask the lady if i can take some photos for my blog and glad that they allowed it. I also talk to the cashier about the bakery. Its from Korea and the branch in Southmall was their second branch already.

Hubby was delighted to see the designs of the cakes. Cake designs are really cute and the price are not steep, a little bit cheaper to Contis.

The breads and pastries are all lined up in the middle. You just grab a tray, choose what you want then go to the counter and pay.

And the cakes:

Yummy no?

The cakes looks so tempting that i want to buy one but im sick and sweets are not allowed this time.

Next time ill try to buy one.

Since its their opening day yesterday, they offer free treats to those Etude members, you just have to present your card to get your free Soboro bread.

Buti na lang i have my card with me and i claim my free treat.

My free bread.

Dont know what gift to give to people who has everything? I think this Tous led Jours offer is the perfect gift to our loved ones. Im considering this to some of my relatives kasi hindi ko rin alam kung ano bibigay ko sa knila this holiday season but we'll see. I still have a week to look for gifts.
