FIC - Fruits in Ice Cream

I came to a family who love desserts especially ice cream. I eat ice cream once in a while but im not like them that almost every meal are looking for something sweet to satisfy their sweet tooth. But if the ice cream is like fro-yo, definitely i will get it because one thing is for sure, it is good for the health and not too much calories.

Recently, Fruits in Ice cream brand put up a small kiosk in our cafeteria, I saw this brand in ATC but never had the chance to try it. Last time (i think wednesday) during our lunch, me and my team mate was intrigued of this brand and decided to try.

The kiosk in our cafeteria...

Medyo pricey lang sya... P55.00 per scoop.

I ordered 1 scoop of FIC in Pistachio flavor. I noticed that the texture is not that smooth but i love that there are lots of pistachio nuts in ice cream itself. After you get your scoop of ice cream i think you have to eat it immediately kasi ang bilis matunaw.

There are also lots of flavors to choose from:

I like FIC but my favorite is still the ice cream that can be found on the street of Orchard Road in SG. The SG$ 1.00 ice cream with bread. Yummy..

BTIC = Better Than Ice Cream

BTIC simply means Better Than Ice Cream and located just beside the Rustan's near the escalator. It is really not that noticeable but worth visiting the booth. After my therapy and while waiting for Tami in Dave's Funhouse, i decided to try this BTIC and see what's the difference from the other gelatos and from my favorite White hat.

The BTIC booth. Looks like a simple ice cream booth with three tables set beside the booth for the customers who wants to stay and have a cold treat.

The prices..

Some people that i saw bought the BTIC and they prefer in cone so they can go around licking their ice cream while walking...it so me! hehe

They have lots of flavor to choose from and really looks yummy!

Right side of the freezer

Left side of the freezer

On the other side

From the flavors, i chose Mint and Chips...

My mint and chips (PhP55.00 for 1 scoop).

I only ordered one scoop because i want to try it lang. The flavor is so good but the texture of this is not that smooth, Its like im eating dirty ice cream in our neighborhood. hehe. Its still good that i want to have another one.

When Tami finally gets tired of playing and decided to go home, we dropped by again in BTIC so she can try it. I chose the Bubblegum flavor for her because i know kids love that flavor :)

Tami with her BTIC bubblegum flavor.

Also 1 scoop only. Mahirap na at baka masayang pag di nagustuhan ni Tami. I asked her after she tasted it and she said that she likes it.

Next time we'll try different flavors :) Have you tried the BTIC?

Dan Eric's ice cream

I blogged about ice cream yesterday and when i came home i saw this new tub of ice cream in our fridge. FIL brought the ice cream this morning for Tami. I don’t know if you heard this brand of ice cream that can be bought anywhere but for some reason, it’s not available in the leading supermarkets. You just have to find distributor and we are so lucky that there's one near our place.

Dan Eric's ice cream

Aside from Blue Bunny and Ben and Jerry's ice cream which is so expensive (around Php 700.00 per tub) that we bought once in a while or we go for Selecta as an alternative, i can say that Dan Eric's is our everyday cold treats courtesy of my FIL (father-in-law).

I was about to eat ice cream when i saw this. Hubby, Tami and the yaya almost ate half of the gallon. Grabe kumain ng ice cream. Almost everyday na lang... Buti may nagsu-supply samin ng ice cream, kundi butas ang bulsa ko kakabili ng ice cream.

Yummy ube ice cream

Overall, I am very pleased with this flavor. Actually i like it more than buying Magnolia ice cream. They have the same taste and texture, though Dan Eric's is not that popular as Magnolia, i will choose Dan Eric's over Magnolia as our everyday cold treats :)

Thanks Pa for always bringing ice cream to our house. Pwede next week Cookies and Cream naman. hehe :)

Banana-Strawberry at DQ!

My family and I have been keeping our love affair with anything cold, whether its gelato, froyo or ice cream. Its always a must to have a least a tub of ice cream in our fridge because hubby and my daughter is a monster eater of ice cream. We always buy ice cream depends on the location or where we do grocery, say doing grocery in SnR, top choice would be Ben and Jerry's or Blue Bunny, If in SM Center our pick is Selecta Hersheys but sometimes my FIL will bring 1 gallon or half gallon of Dan Eric's ice cream here for Tami.  We also love the local brands like Dan Eric's because the taste is really like Magnolia or better than Magnolia ice cream.

Whenever im in Southmall naman, i always buy ice cream in DQ because i enjoy walking around while eating ice cream.

Suki na ko dito sa DQ.

Servings depends on the size..

Another thing that struck me here was the fact that it wasn’t an icecream store alone. DQ store serves shakes, drinks and even some cakes.

My Banana-strawberry ice cream. Flavor-wise is really well. It is completely on par with other ice cream store. I love the combination that i ordered. For sure tami will like it also because strawberry is her fave flavor.

They now have the Super Mango and definitely i will be going back there to try this.

Yummy it is!

Selecta Hershey's Collection

Last Saturday, when hubby and i went to SM Center for merienda, we do a quick grocery in Hypermarket. While im on the raw foods section, i told hubby to get ice cream for Tami and get me chocolates since im busy getting some raw meats.

When he comes back to where i am, he handed me this ice cream with Reese's chocolate. He told me to try it because its looks delish. Ice cream and chocolate in one.

800ml pint = PhP 135.00

This New ice cream from Selecta is rich in Chocolate flavor loaded with chunks of Reese's Peanut butter chocolate! Yummy..

When its time to try it at home, i open the tub and looks like its just a regular chocolate ice cream but as you dig the ice cream, it has bits of Reese's chocolate. Its really good. Hubby said its rich in chocolate flavor with after taste of peanut butter aside from the bits of the chocolate.

I am on my diet but i can't resist to try this. The perfect chocolate/ice cream indulgence :)
