Team Building & Spongebob Party

I posted here about our scheduled team building last time. After our shift last friday (3pm), we all headed to Laguna and its also our planned surprise party for our supervisor.

"Matuterians" at the company lobby.. hehe

Dangsky Resort

As i was said, Dangsky Resort is new to us and we didn't know what to expect until we arrive, pictures are not enough to say that its really big for our group and very affordable considering its a peak season. With 3 rooms, 2 shower rooms and cr's, dirty kitchen with free use of the lpg gas, all are really good. I recommend this resort for those looking for a big place for team buildings, swimming party etc.

Anyway, we arrived in the place past 6pm and we didn't waste our time. We prepare the food, party favors and with the help of the boys and cooperative team mates, we were able to surprise our supervisor.

Team Garting

My supervisor said that he was really surprised and it was his dream to have this kind of kiddie party, it is not that grand but he was thankful for the effort.

The birthday boy with his gifts :)

After the picture taking, we had our post merienda..

 The cupcake...

The merienda - Spaghetti and Andok's chicken

We also prepare all the foods for the whole night until breakfast. To name a few:

Grilled Liempo
Grilled Fish
Grilled hotdogs
Adobo

Desserts: fruits and we also have leche flan

Aside from dipping in the pool, resorts package includes the use of billiards and the videoke (no need to prepare P5 for the machine because its free!)

Me on the billiards and Chucky the videoke queen! hehe

We swim during the free time, i love the pool because its not really hot nor cold, tama lang ang timpla. Pictures galore around the area.

(L-R) me, jhoy, jane, janice, phong and kelly

 Rest, drink and putting sunblock...

 second round...

After dipping in the pool, at around 1am we started our games and it was really fun. We had the famous Pinoy Henyo with the theme "Green". All the words in the Pinoy-Henyo game has double meaning. Super fun! We had videos of the game but i dont know how to upload it here. Sayang.

Aside from the Pinoy-henyo, we also had Buhol-Buhol game...

The games was really fun and we all enjoyed it. Laugh trip all night. After the games, we're all back in the pool hanggang sa magsawa. They all stay there until 5am but i cant stay that long so i have to take the shower at 3am and just jokingly around after.

When its time to leave and while the others are preparing their things, we took pictures around for the last time. Me and jhoy (i was the model and she was the photographer.. haha) thinks of the blog were following and reading because almost everyday this blogger posts her everyday wear and she pose like this:

The outfit:
Top from Mossimo, Jeans from 168 mall, flipflops from Flojos, Bag from Havaianas.. ano pa ba?

gayang-gaya ba jhoy? haha

Anyway, i enjoyed our team building. If you're planning of availing the resort, you can contact me here in my blog. The rent was P7,000. Its really worth your money.

Expenses for a Budgeted Kid's Party

Budget is the most important thing we considered in giving our daughter her 5th birthday party. As much as we wanted to give her a bonggang party, its not possible during these times because we are still saving up for the interior of our future house. But we still give her the party that she wants, only on a budget and most of it is a do-it-yourself thing-y.

I want to share how it goes for some mommies thinking of having a kiddie party on a budget. Will put all the cost for my daughter's 5th party so you can have an idea for every detail of the party.

VENUE. With my daughter's 5th party, we chose to held it in my in-laws house. The party was supposed to be in Mcdonalds but they want it in the house for some reasons like the time, we all know that partying in some known establishment has limited time only and they dont want it, hubby also want it in the house because all his agents went there and they have drinking session after. Maybe on Tami's 7th party will be outside na.

INVITATION. Invitation will give the idea of the birthday's theme so might as well design it the way you want it. There are lots of ways on how to have a nice invitation. Of course bonggang invitation means high price. If you know someone who knows adobe photoshop (the easy way), ask them to design your invitation so you can have the theme and design you want. In my case, my cousin design the invitation and i have it printed in photoline shop in SM that cost P7.00 each.

(30pcs x 7.00 = PhP 210.00)

PARTY FAVORS. This is one of the important thing when throwing a kiddie party. There are lots of stores you need to visit in order for you to get all the needs for the party's theme. When my daughters 5th birthday, i went all day to the basement of Divisoria mall just to buy loots for the lootbags, pabitin, game prizes but this does not end then because i have to go to some place like SM and Uniwide to complete all those. I suggest before thinking of a theme for the party, visit Divisoria first to know the "in" characters. With my experience, we chose the Mickey / Minnie Mouse theme party but when i went to Divisoria, all i see was Spongebob, Ben10, Princess because it was the "in" character that time. Thanks to SM and Uniwide because they have Mickey mouse stuff...

Divisoria stuff - PhP 4,500
Uniwide stuff - PhP 958.00
SM stuff - PhP 690.00

Total of Party favors cost - PhP 6,148.00

OTHER PARTY NEEDS. This includes the Clowns, Chairs and tables rental. With all these, i got it from Lobocap Las Pinas, its the nearest party shop in our place and everytime we have an occasion, we always go there.

2 Clowns with free 20 twisting balloons- PhP 2,000
Tables and chairs (adult)  6 sets x 130.00 = PhP 780.00
Kids table and chairs 5 sets x 70.00 = PhP 350.00
Mother Balloon 3 x 40.00 = PhP 120.00
Tip to the clowns = P300.00

Total for the other party needs = PhP 3,550.00

CAKE. Its part of the party already so you have to buy one but we go to the most practical way. My daughter's party cake was the gift of my FIL. Nakakahiya naman kung bibili ako ng mahal diba? So we bought it in Goldilocks. I will not include this on the budget because its not me who pay for it. But for everyone's concern ill put it here, the price of the cake that we bought is only P830.00. Its the biggest in square size and in chocolate chiffon... Wala lang design kaya mura.

FOOD. This is the most expensive part of the party. My first budget was P 6,000 but its really not enough because i have to shell out again to complete the merienda-dinner food and we prepare it to at least 100 pax. This does not include the Spaghetti and Carbonara because it was my MIL's courtesy.

Initial Cash-out = PhP 6,000.00
Second budget = P  1,875.00 (BBQ, Patatim and fried lumpia)
Amber's food delivery = PhP 1,310 (Pancit Malabon, Pichi-Pichi + delivery charge of P150.00)
Grocery = PhP 2,157.00 (grocery for the Fruit salad ingredients, candies and chichiria)
2nd grocery = PhP 458.00 (last minute grocery like additional ribbon and some needs for the salad)

Total cost for the food = PhP 11,800.00

TOTAL COST FOR MY DAUGHTER'S 5TH BDAY PARTY ON A BUDGET:

Invitation = PhP 210.00
Party Favors = PhP 6,148.00
Other Party Needs = PhP 3,550.00
Food = PhP 11,800.00

Total = PhP 21,708.00

This does not include the cost of our birthday outfits, the liquors that hubby bought after the party and some of the little cost on the day of the party. During the party, make sure you have money on your pocket because sometimes there are some emergency needs like tip to the clowns etc.... If i will include the cost of our outfit, the liquors, it costs us almost P30,000.00.

There you have it! You will now have an idea of the expenses of having a budgeted kid's party.

Party Favors in Divisoria Mall

Due to some emergency, my in-laws wasn't able to accompany me in Divisoria so i went to Divisoria alone with PhP4,500 with me and my coin purse. My main agenda is to buy tokens and giveaways for Tami's birthday. I headed to Divisoria Mall basement area as instructed by my officemates/friends where almost all party needs are being sold. It is my first time in that area and my eyes feasted on the colorful things and for a while I was mental blocked for I did not know where to start! Thank God I was able to regain my focus and I look for the things I needed which is banner, toys and other things for the lootbags.

Merchandise in the basement area of Divi Mall.

I thought that Mickey/Minnie Mouse things are so easy to find and boy i was wrong! The things i saw are mostly Ben10, Spongebob, Princess etc. Hay.. if only i can changed the theme that time.

I almost stayed in that area for almost 3 hours! Can you imagine that?

The loots

All these things that i bought are good for 30 kids lootbags, i will buy additional toys for the game prizes and for the pabitin and candies in the mall. I saw lots of candies but i dont want to buy candies there for some reasons. Mahirap na baka japeks din ang mga candies dun. hehe

I also looked for nice paper bags where i will put all those tokens but all are common so i remember the do-it-your-own loot bags that i saw in the net so i looked for some materials and it lead me to Sto. Cristo street in Divisoria. Naligaw pa ko dito. Buti na lang helpful yung ibang tao dun.

Then i headed next to 168 Mall to eat my lunch on the 3rd floor of 168 mall. I chose none other than Tokyo Tokyo! hehe

My lunch from Tokyo-Tokyo..

After i ate lunch, i went to the Pay Restroom to pee and clean my feet from all the mud from the streets going to Divi Mall. My feet is so dugyot! haha

P10.00 for the Pay Restroom..

So for those who want to pee on the clean toilet and no more falling in line. This is the answer! hehe

After cleaning my feet and feel refreshed, i walked around the 168 mall and bought some fab items.

Shorts for Hubby

Bad trip tong shorts na to! I bought this nice shorts at P550.00 but when i go to the other side of the 3rd floor, i saw this on sale at 50% off. Paksh*t! Sayang yung P200.00.. Tsk. Tsk.

Kids Leggings for Tami..

I bought this 2pcs for only P150.00 because tami's size is large. If your kid's size is small or medium, the price of this is P50.00 each.

Office Blouse for me P380.00

Is it nice?

Undies for Tami at P10.00 each.

After buying some stuff for ourselves and as much as i want to buy more office blouses for me, wala na kong choice kundi umuwi kasi wala na kong pera... Poor me :(

I arrived home with only coins left in my pocket...

Trip to Divisoria is always tiring, yet so much fun. Can't wait for my next Divisoria tour **calling my officemates again** Promise, I will go back after Tami's birthday.

The Layouts

Part of my do-it-yourself kiddie party in Mickey and Minnie mouse theme is the party invites and other design of the party that highlights Mickey and Minnie. And with our unplanned kiddie party, i seek help from cousins and friends for the preparation of the party because i have only 1 week left till the event.

My cousin EJ designed the invitations, cupcake topper and the sticker for the lootbags. I want something unique thats why i didnt bought any common lootbags in Divisoria.

Here's the lay-out:

Party Invitation

He asked for Tami's pictures from Baby to present to show the transition and i like what he did. Perfect for the theme.

Cupcake Topper

Sticker for the lootbag and also serve as the Thank you tag.

Hubby and I liked what my cousin did.

Thanks EJ.

Minnie Mouse Theme Birthday

I let Tami chose what theme she wants and she prefers the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse theme. Since Mickey Mouse clubhouse has lots of characters. I decided to do a Mickey/Minnie theme party for Tami.

I NEED SOME HELP!

I have 2 weeks to prepare for this. Hope i can do this do-it-yourself kiddie party.
