Our Apartment Contract..

Saturday.

Hubby and I went to the Landlord of the apartment and we told him that we were planning to move-out by May because we already have our own house and we planned of telling him ahead of time so he can tell the office regarding our plan and to prepare the refund of 4 mos. deposit that we made when we transferred to the apartment last October.

Unfortunately, the Landlord told us that we need to stay in the apartment at least 1 year as stated in the contract that we signed last year. If we terminate the contract, we will pay the remaining months and we were not able to refund the 4 months deposit. F*ck! Malaki din yon ah.. saka sayang yung 4 months deposit. Hubby and i looked at each other when we heard it. We told the Landlord that we will check again the contract because we are not aware of that.

Blame it to us for not reading the contract before signing it.

After all that conversation Hubby come up of the decision of delaying the construction of our house. Yesterday we went to the construction company office and we told them of what happened... They suggests that they will start the construction of our house by June so we can move in October. Hubby want the house to be finished by September so my cousin have at least 1 month to design the house and we can transfer by October. He wants to have a house blessing on his birthday (Oct 24).

So for now, we will stay in the Apartment until October and our daughter will have another year in her school.

But at least, were going to spend our first christmas there as what i have plan before.

Lesson learned: Kahit gaano pa kakapal ang contract, make sure that you have time to read it all.

Our Simple Home

Like what i've mentioned, we transferred to a two-storey townhouse/apartment as our home until such time that we have our own house. We are still on the process of designing our simple home but since my cousins in US kept bugging me to post some pictures of our home, now here it is:

Last weekend, we bought christmas decor for our sala and im thinking of a blue and gold motiff for christmas.. Is it nice?

This was our entertainment area on the sala, adjacent to the lcd was the Narra set, on the right side near the electric fan was the main door.. And here is our lcd tv and home entertainment system, since the right side of the sala was bare, we put the 6 ft. christmas tree there, I am planning to buy a console table for that area (right side) so i can put photo frames of our family and other display..

The computer table was supposed to be in our bedroom but the PLDT contractor attached the telephone socket near the stairs, thats why we need to place the computer beside the stairs unless hubby decides to buy long wire to connect the phone line up to our room..

The white door that is open was the CR, this house has only 1 cr, i wasnt able to take some photos of the CR and the dirty kitchen because i took this at around 7pm and i feel so sleepy.

This is the Narra set courtesy of my mother-in-law, Hubby wants to buy Sala set because the Sala was spacious and he wants a comfortable sofa where he can doze off whenever he feels sleepy while playing computer games.

This is the dining area. The close white door is leading to our dirty kitchen and laundry area. Were still not done designing this area.

This is our bedroom. Unfortunately, hindi namin magamit yung frame ng bed namin kasi hindi kasya sa stairs, We have a queen size bed and only single or maybe double bed lang yung kasya.. Our bed frame remained in hubbys room in my in-laws house. Im planning to buy a table because i want to have a mini office set-up and a wall mirror.

Since the house has a small built-in cabinet, we bought another cabinet for our clothes, Before we transfer, inayos ko pa yung mga damit namin and pinili ko lang yung talagang magagamit namin. The rest remains on our cabinet and the others was piled to one of the luggage and will be sent to laguna to give to some of my relatives.

Look at my bag stand, sobrang pili na yan.. Iniwan ko na yung iba at pinamigay yung iba kasi kailangan ng magbawas at magpalit..hehe (Bi, i know youre reading my blog, ngaun may idea ka na kung ano bibigay mo sa pasko... hehe)

This is my daughter's room, no bed frame and her yaya sleeps with her because she's afraid sleeping alone. Aside from the built-in cabinet, we bring the Orocan cabinet for tami's things, beside the orocan and the Hello Kitty tent was the container where tami put her barbies and other toys... As early as now, im teaching her how to organize and be responsible for her things.

As much as i want to buy lots of stuff for our home (considering this transfer costs us a lot already), there are so many considerations to think of like the budget right? And also i need to look for some cheap furniture.. As of this post, all the things that you see in our house is all brand new except our bed, lcd, home theater system and the computer. My mother-in-law advise us not to make any changes to the house (gusto ko kasi pa-retile) because first its not our own house and second, were living there temporarily.

Future Abode

Every couple is dreaming of their own house and i have to admit that i am one of them but since my husband was the youngest and the only boy, its a decision on both part that were going to stay at my in-laws house.  I was scared at first because what i heard from others is that its so hard to live with in-laws but i proved them wrong because i was thankful and happy that i have the kind, generous and lovable parents-in-law. For almost 12 years of being with my husband, i never felt that i was taken for granted and they also treated me as one of their own.

Last month, i learned that my parents-in-law decided to renovate the house. From the 200++ square meter house and lot, they decided to divide it to three and build a house for each of their children. It means that we are going to have our own house. *Yey*

I asked my civil engineer cousin and he told me that if a 200+ square meter will be divided into three, say its 250 sq. mtr divide to 3, each of us will be having a 83 sq. meter house and lot. Wow, its not that small because according to them, those developer that are selling townhouses has a lot of at least 50-60 sq. mtrs only. I am so happy with the news. I can design my own house, invest on furnitures etc.. the only problem is i dont know how to cook.

As i was looking on the net,  a 70 square meter lot area can have a 3 bedrooms.. I am so excited while i was looking at the designs of the house. No wonder our present house has a 5 bedrooms, ngaun ko lang nalaman na malaki pla yung lot area nmen.

I tried looking at Camella site and i want to share what i found:

This Amethyst design house and lot from Camella has a floor area of 50. sq. mtr and a lot area of 76 sq. meters.

Now that the decision has been made, we need to look for an apartment or house for rent that we can live in for the meantime. I dont know how long will it take to build the house, whats important is we are going to have our own house.

Hubby and I started to look for a house to be our home in the next few months. We want to rent a house or an apartment within the vicinity only because were thinking of our daughter who goes to school everyday.

Do you know any house for rent? I prefer a 1 or 2 bedroom only. I think its enough for the 3 of us plus a maid.
