Last Minute Purchase for Tami's Birthday

I filed a halfday Vacation Leave last friday to do the errands for my daughter's 5th birthday and that includes the ordering of cake in Goldilocks, ordering food in Amber's, completion of my do-it-yourself lootbags, party prizes and the outfits.

I leave the office at 11:30am and headed to SM southmall because it was our plan to do grocery and buy the other items needed for the party but since its late already (i arrive at SM Southmall around 3:00PM because of the heavy traffic from Admiral to Moonwalk), we decided to do the grocery in SM Center. We ate first in Karate Kid and its our third time there. Hubby really liked eating in Karate Kid and we saw our friend there together with his family. We settled on the table beside them so we can talk with them.

Here's our order from our third visit to the place:

California Maki for me

Beef Teriyaki for hubby

Gyoza for me

Tofu Furei for hubby

Red tea and the free Pepsi drink from Blockbuster meal

They also have promo now for their anniversary. Sayang nga lang we did not notice this leaflet. Nakita na lang namin after we ordered our food.

After eating merienda, we went to Folded and Hung because hubby wants to have blue shirt and i also bought the same color for tami's birthday.

Our shirts..

Then we go to 2nd floor at the kids section to look for Tami's shirt to match with her Guess jeans. And we saw this Pink blouse that is nice for her Jeans and pink sandals...

Hubby chose this design from Gingersnap.

After buying our clothes, we went to SM Center to do the last minute Grocery. The supposed to be leche flan as the dessert for tami's birthday was canceled so i decided to make Fruit Salad as hubby's request.

We also bought lots of candies and chichiria for the lootbags, game bags and the pabitin. And lastly the things needed for Fruit Salad.

Last friday was really tiring day for me because of all the errands i did, the last minute purchases and also the making of the Fruit Salad. I slept around 12:00 midnight because of the salad and preparing some of the party needs.

Second time @ Karate Kid Resto..

Yesterday, i didn't go to work because i woke up not feeling well and aside from that Dysmenorrhea attacks so i rest the whole morning and sleep. At 2pm, i went to Southmall to meet Hubby again because he opened BPI Checking account for our Housing Loan. I dont want to use my Sterling bank checking account kaya pinilit ko syang mag-open ng sarili nya. We were done with the bank errands in 30 minutes. ID lang hiningi kay hubby and the P25,000  money for the opening requirement then ok na... Why BPI? kasi we have online account there and its so easy to transfer money online, no need to go to Branch dba?

After he got his check, we headed again to Karate kid restaurant. Nagustuhan kasi ni hubby kaya ayan balik kami dun to try different dish. Imagine dun kami kumain nung Saturday tapos dun ulit kahapon... kaloka dba?

Why?

I ordered Pearl Milk Tea and try Strawberry Flavor, hubby tasted my Milk tea first and with the looks in his face, natawa sya sabay sabing "Ang sarap ah, ang daya mo nman, puro sayo lang ang masarap!".. When its my turn to drink it, hubby still looking at me with a smile in his face.

Here's our order yesterday:

Yakisoba P75.00 (not sure of the price kasi nawala yung receipt)

I was dissapointed with my Yakisoba because the noodles are really different.. Pra kong kumain ng pansit canton with lots of veggies and bits of togue..

 Tofu Furei (P75.00 yata)

A must-have when youre eating in Karate Kid. Hubby told me na sana eto na lang inorder namin last Saturday instead of Potato balls... Tofu here is really Japanese tofu, and we love the sauce!

Pork Tonkatsu P99.00

He wants rice thats why he ordered this. And the rice is refillable kaya sulit.. Hubby ate 2 cups of rice with his pork tonkatsu.

Not presentable.. But hubby liked it.

Maki P42.00

My favorite maki.. Kaya pala maraming nag-te-takeout nito kasi masarap pla.. Hubby whose not fan of Japanese food said that its masarap.

Little conversation:
Sa kanin ka magpa-practice during our dinner...
Hubby: Huh? Sa kanin?
Me: uu mas maganda pag sa kanin... :)

Karate Kid Restaurant - Japanese Fast food @ SM Southmall

When hubby and i were in Southmall yesterday, we look for restaurant that we've never tried before and we chose Karate Kid because we missed eating in Tokyo-Tokyo (meron pa ba non?). Karate Kid opens in Southmall months ago but it was our first time to eat there.

The restaurant's facade..

Hubby settled to our seats while im placing our order. I asked him to take some pics for my blog and one of the shot that he made was this counter. The employees were organized and they know what to do, everyone of them has an assigned task,, hindi sila magulo unlike sa ibang resto na ang gulo ng servers.

Next picture taken was the place itself. Sabi ni hubby "Mukang masarap d2 kasi maraming nakain".. And its true. Masarap nga yung food pwera lang yung potato balls... hehe

At table Number 8...

While waiting for our orders, ako naman ang nag-picture...

Here is hubby. Did i told you that he is sick? He has fever and colds for 2 days already but he still manage to go with me...

One more shot of hubby. Look naman at his eyes, obvious na maysakit. Pumasok pa yan sa work.

At gumanti ang loko, he took this pic while i make-face.. *peace*

Our orders:

Citrus Green Tea

its like Red Tea from Tokyo-Tokyo but with the lemon taste.. I love it more...

Kido Punch Tea

Hubby dont like it... Pero naubos pa rin nya.

Beef Teriyaki

My order. I told hubby that i dont like to eat rice but he wants to try this kaya its one of our orders. In the end, i was the one who consumed it all. I love the teriyaki sauce in it.

Potato Balls

Hubby tried it and he was dismayed because of the Potato balls fill.  He like the Potato balls in Tokyo-Tokyo more because its real potato inside. In Karate Kid, its like bread or something deep-fried to oil.

I also tried it and i dont like it also... Nakaka-umay..

Classic Burger Combo P99.00

Its hubby's order. Since we dont know what's best here. He just choose from the menu board. Mukang hindi naman sya nagkamali ng order kasi he liked it. True to the slogan of serving the food in fresh, and the veggies are really fresh.

I also ordered Takoyaki because i love it and i missed eating that. Nagtataka si hubby why i didn't order Makis. Im on diet remember? hehe

Its true! Masarap nga ang food in Karate Kid even if its not-so-Japanese. Definitely we will go back and we want to try their crepes and their sushis.. And price are very reasonable, did you know that all our orders cost less than P350.00. Sobrang mura dba?
