Things to Bring in Boracay...

Two more days and our team will be heading to Boracay...And now i am looking for some things in my closet and choose what to bring in this trip and see what i need to buy on the day before our trip.

 2 Travel bags

I only use my Esprit bag for lightweight clothes in order to avoid heavy or bulk baggage and another small bag for important things to bring like cellphone, psp, wallet etc....

Since we went there for the beach, i have to mix match my new and old swimsuits...

And to cover some of my bulges and my CS operation mark hehe, my must-have for a beach getaway is the swimsuit cover.

Ill bring my new Coach Visor and my old Roxy visor so i can protect my face from the heat of the sun... The MYX shades that i can use with grade.. I dont have any sunglasses because it is very limited for those who have high grade.. Water resistant watch to be updated with the time and of course the towel...

The most important is the Sunblock. The higher the SPF the better..

Things to buy on Friday:

- Sunblock for face
- Clothes

What else?

Merienda Time: Sbarro

Last Monday, when my mom-in-law went to SM to do some grocery/shopping, She bought the kids Sbarro White Pizza for merienda. Tami and I shared at 1 slice and hubby has his own slice of pizza.

Tami really love the pizza at Sbarro.

Here she is wearing the new shoes that my mom-in-law bought. She goes around the house walking-running wearing the heels....

Ice Candy on a hot day!

When i arrived home, i saw my baby eating ice candy. I went to the kitchen and saw lots of ice candy on the freezer of our fridge. Hubby's cousin make lots of it so we can have something to eat in this hot weather...

This ice candy is made of combined ripe mango and jackfruit with condensed milk... So yummy that everytime i go home from work, i always go directly to the fridge to get this cool ice candy...

Even my baby is enjoying this ice candy....

Proud Cousin!

During our Northpark dinner, i decided to take this picture and show my super intelligent cousins.. hehe.. Oh the Chicken feet that was consumed immediately ordered by Mika....

From left to right: Mika, Miggy and Mikee

Like what ive said they're one of my intelligent cousins. In our family, i have lots of cousin who is really smart, ako lang yata ang hindi...hehe...nung nagsabog yata ng talino ang Diyos feeling ko nagtago ako somewhere kaya eto ang kinalabasan hehe.. Even with my siblings, the youngest is also intelligent.. I guess street smart lang ako...haha

Meet my cousin Mika who is now on its 3rd year college taking up International Studies at La Salle, Miggy (guy on the center) is now 4th year high school in Philippine Science High School and is topnotch in his school and Mikee (right) is incoming first year high school also in Philippine Science High School. See? that proves that they're intelligent.

One more thing, Miggy (center) took up exams for a scholarship in US and guess what? His score is so high that he can get scholarship at 2 large and known school in US, MIT and Harvard School... Now the question is which school he's going to choose...

Congrats Miggy! We are so proud of you...

Late Dinner at Northpark Macapagal

Like what i've said in my previous post, we find a place for a quick and late dinner. We were supposed to watch a film in MOA (here comes the bride) upon the request of my cousins but its too late already. When we arrived in Northpark, we were 2nd batch on the waiting area since the place is full with diners.

Since we're a large group that night, we waited for a large group also to end their dinner so we can have their table. While waiting for our turn, we place our order in advance...

After settling to our table, the first order that arrived was the Chicken feet, sorry i dont have photo of the Chicken feet because it was consumed immediately by our hungry pangs..haha

Next is the Crispy Noodles, everytime we ate at Northpark, this noodle is always present.. The taste never changed, it is always good with our nth time eating this..

While we are eating the noodles, our orders arrive one by one.... Lechon Macau, Lapu-Lapu with tofu, Roast Chicken, Yang chow rice, Spicy Squid...

 Yang Chow Rice

2 orders of Yang Chow rice... i dont like their Yang chow rice this time because the taste was too bland and its oily...

Lapu-Lapu with Tofu

I love the tofu here, i think they use imported tofu, dont know if its korean or japanese tofu...will search it later...

Lechon Macau

Lechon Macau was so crispy....

Roast Chicken

I love their Roast Chicken this time with the sauce....

I dont have the photo of the Spicy squid and i dont like the taste of it, its like the squid was cut into thick square and fried with breadings then sauteed in something with lots of green chilis...

Sorry, i dont know the price of each food because it was my aunt who pay for our dinner :) Thanks tita...

My uncle at St. Luke's Medical Center

Yesterday, after i got home from work and took a half-body bath, we left for Quezon City to visit my uncle who is still confined at St. Luke's Medical Center.

My uncle who has done lots of laboratory tests and CT scan at St. Luke's Bonifacio Global City was transferred to St. Luke's QC for an operation because according to my cousin, the major operation in St. Lukes Bonifacio Global City who opened some time ago is not fully operational because of some machines or tools needed for the operation is still in QC.

According to Kuya Bing, St. Lukes in QC has changed a lot unlike before when he was taking an intern and working as an Occupational Therapist in the hospital, the building is old until the renovation has been made and now St. Luke's is as beautiful as new. When we arrived in the hospital at around 6pm, my uncle was still in the Recovery room and we waited for him till 9pm in his room.  We did nothing on the room but keep on chatting and eating with my cousins and aunts.

At around 9pm, my uncle was brought to his room but still unconscious, when he woke up he was still in pain and asking for some pain reliever. Kuya bing talked to the nurse about the procedure done to him and will talk to my uncle's doctor about his condition but since its already late the nurse told us to come back and my uncle will stay in the hospital maybe until monday.

After an hour, we leave the room so my uncle and his wife together with my cousin can take their rest. When we were about to go to parking area, we saw this golf cart like approaching us outside the lobby and we rode in it when we learned that its the hospital's parking shuttle and kuya bing made a joke and told the driver "Ang sosyal nman ng St. Luke's, may shuttle pa papuntang parking area"... haha...

On our way home from QC, we find a place for a quick and late dinner... Northpark in Macapagal it is! Ill blog it next... For those who read or accidentally landed on my blog and read this post, please include him on your prayers for his fast recovery.

Pacman on Google

Have you noticed the new doodle of Google's Home Page?

If you're a fan of Pacman like me (not the boxing champ but the video game), for sure you will enjoy the game when youre on Google Home Page. Pacman celebrated its 30th year as an icon and to celebrate it, Google embed the game to its homepage. Cool isn't it?

What are you waiting for? Go check it out!

Classes will start soon!

In the next few weeks, classes will start and my daughter is excited with the thought that shes going to school everyday. I enrolled her in the nearest private school in our house and she's now attending the free workshop for a week.

I accompany her on the first day and i saw what they do in the classroom. The teacher taught them to dance, pray, color and they ask the kids to identify colors, shapes, number, animals..etc.. And tami was bright to answer it correctly. Hubby's cousin accompany my baby on her remaining days at the workshop and everytime they got home, my daughter always has a star. Hubby's cousin told us that according to her teacher, she is attentive and smart. With the 15 kids attending the workshop, they're only two who always got the star. Im very proud of my daughter because she's fast-learner, considering  that i dont have time teaching her, maybe she got her intelligence to hubby. Its a good thing that she watch disney on tv because it also helps. My daughter is english-speaking and she got her slang on the cartoons that shes watching, feeling ko nga mas magaling pa syang mag-english sa akin...I know im not that good in english..and who cares?

Anyway, after my bora trip, i need to attend to my daughter's school needs because according to them, the classes will begin on the 7th of June. I went to school to inquire about the required supplies and here it is:

     - School and PE uniform (will be purchased in school)
     - School supplies (need to buy in school bec. their notebook has the school logo)
     - Black shoes and white rubber shoes
     - Bag

     What else?

When your child is starting to go schooling, this will cost you a lot since the pre-school is more expensive than elementary grade school... Am i right?

Team building in Boracay...

Next week May 29 to 31, our team will be heading to one of the tourist destination here in the Philippines and we are so excited to go....

here we come BORACAY!

We're going to stay at La Carmela de Boracay Resort. We were looking for some beach activities over the net and im so excited to try some of those actvities.

Oh! and i need to shop some clothes for this trip...

So so excited....

Healthy Desserts

When we fetched tami in the inflatable playground, she was asking for softdrinks and instead of giving her sodas, we bring her to the nearest healthy shakes stand and we found this Healthy Desserts outlet.

Healthy Desserts serves fresh fruit shakes and fresh fruit salads...

I ordered Strawberry shake for me and the Mango Sago with milk for Tami... I love how they made the shakes because its pure fruits...

Fresh fruit shakes costs P85.00, if you want it with milk, you just have to add 5.00 and another 5.00 for the Sago.... Tami love her fruit shake..

Since the store is airconditioned, we stayed there for a while and take some rest since we're the only one inside...

Oh by the way, i want to thank my cousin for my new Elle Bag. I love it, its very roomy and so cute....Im excited to use it in our Bora trip.

Speedo Prescription Glasses

Hubby decided to wear prescription glasses because of his blurred eyesight. We leave tami on the inflatable playground in the activity center of MOA. We know that its safe to leave her there because there are attendants that will look for the children and you are also required to leave your cellphone number just in case your child will look for you.

We went to Ideal Vision and EO optical. We chose to buy his glasses at EO because they offer a 0% interest installment plan for 6 months. Hubby tried a lot of glasses, his first choice was the Oakley glasses but the one he chose was too small for his face and he dont like the other designs. He also tried Burberry, Giorgio Armani and the last is the Speedo. I like the Speedo amongst other because of the design and its rimless. The price is not too bad at P7,380.00 for frame only, additional cost for the lens. He chose the color blue.

While hubby undergoes eye grade check-up, i was looking for sunglasses but unfortunately, the one that i like was not allowed to put some grade because the lens was not flat. I just waited a couple of minutes for hubby. We learned that he has a grade of 100 for his right eye and 75 for his left eye, he also has astigmatism that makes his eye sore.

We talked to the attendant and i requested for the lens that has radiation protector because of his work and he's in front of the computer all the time. I also said that i want the transition lens for him. Transition lens has 2 colors, its clear when you're inside and when you're under the sun the lens became gray or brown so it makes double-purpose. Transition lens is more expensive compare to ordinary. The price of the ordinary lens is P1,950 and the transition lens is P2,500. Since its only 550.00 difference, hubby agreed to have the transition lens.

The original lens of the Speedo frame

With the years that i have my glasses, it never happened to me that the original lens of the frame that i bought was given to me and with hubby's case EO optical gave him the original lens together with the package that we bought.

When hubby wear his glasses, he looked so genius..haha.. Since his glasses is rimless, its not really obvious that he has glasses.

2nd time in Yakimix...

At 12:30pm, we we're looking at some place to pig-out. I remember that Yakimix open its branch in MOA some time ago and i told hubby that i want him to try Yakimix. At first he was hesitant because he's not into Japanese food. After telling him that its not only Japanese and they also serve Chinese, Korean and some Filipino food, he gave-in after he heard of the Chinese food.

I love Yakimix because of the Japanese and Korean food. When im on Yakimix, i only eat japanese and korean and some grilled meat. Since hubby is a meat eater, he enjoyed grilling different meats and mind you, he tried eating some kimchi...hehe

After eating some of my maki, i took picture on my first plate. I had different makis, tempura and kimchi. I love kimchi...

I took this pic while hubby is waiting for the grilled meat.

He said that he now loves yakimix and he enjoyed eating here.

Tami like it here also. I let her tried some dishes and she enjoy eating desserts. Like me, they now love Yakimix and for sure we will be back there.

Our weekend at MOA

Yesterday (Monday) was the second day of our weekend and we went to MOA before lunch so Tami can play. Its one of our family bonding time. Hubby also decided to buy his prescription glasses.

Hubby and Tami near the skating rink. Tami enjoyed watching those in skates and she told us that she want to go skates.

She also rode the carousel 6 times! She never get tired of riding this.

When tami get bored in the carousel, we ate lunch at Yakimix, my favorite eat-all-you-can resto. After the Yakimix, Tami play on the inflatable playground in the activity center. We leave her there for 2 hours while we check some glasses and this inflatable playground costs us P400.00 because for every 30 mins, you have to pay P100.00. When we're about to fetch her, she didn't want to leave the playground...AAArrggghhh! grabe ang tantrums...

This was taken on her 6th ride. We were on the EO optical to get hubbys glasses.

Before we go home, tami requested a pizza and we brought her to Sbarro and we have some merienda. We left the mall at around 4.30pm. While on our way home, i realized our expenses for that day. Tami's rides and cart, on the playground, the balloons etc, lunch at Yakimix, merienda at Sbarro, Prescription glasses for hubby and all the small things that hubby bought for tami. Lahat na lang ng magustuhan na nakikita pinapabili...And hubby kept on buying naman. No wonder why tami has that kind of tantrums..

Tami fall asleep while on our way home. Surely she get tired on playing. We were also happy when we saw our daughter enjoying her day.

Hubby is now a Team Leader!

The announcement of the promotion in hubby's office happened this morning. He texted me while im on my way to office that he got the Team Leader position and he's going to start his training on monday.

Congratulations Graphics

He was not expecting anymore with the position. After his interview before, he feels that he did not make it because the other applicants for the said position was more qualified and more tenured than him, say 3 to 5 years in their company. On my part, i was confident enough that he will get the position because he is really smart and can work without supervision. It was proven already because in his 2 years with their company, he already got 2 promotions considering that this is his first job in the BPO industry ;)

Congrats be, i know you deserved the promotion...

Just wanna give you a heads-up on what to do as Team Leader or Line Lead. The most important task is to motivate your team members to keep doing great with their jobs like what you did with your function. Be good. Try to know each of them. Be friendly. Explain their priorities as an employee because in the long run, all of you will benefit from the good works that they've done.

It so hard at first because handling 15 or more than 15 agents is a difficult task but take it easy. I know that you can do it. Again, be good with your agents.. Good Luck on your new position..

I am happy and so proud of you.

This calls for a celebration :)

Chillin' at Starbucks...

Yesterday, hubby asked me to accompany him to salon for his haircut. Since it was too early pa, we decided to unwind at Starbucks.  I ordered the Mocha Frap for him and the Java chip for me and i also requested for more espresso...

Our venti size frap...

The Starbucks store in Las Piñas was always jampacked with students, office workers, etc.. and everybody seems to have their laptops with them and they're using the Starbucks wifi, just ask for the codes hehe.... The people like it here because its airconditioned and youre having fun with your colleagues.

See? Faceboook pa rin kahit saan...

taking pictures inside the Starbucks using MAC laptop...

We were laughing to ourselves after taking some pics kasi lahat ng pics sobrang taba nmin dalawa..haha

Family time

After buying headset for our PSP, we headed to Starmall to do some grocery and have merienda at KFC. We also let tami play in Tom's world. She and hubby had a great time playing around. Here are some pics...

Hubby still treat tami as a baby and everytime hubby asked her if she wants to play with another baby, Tami gets angry and she always say that she's the only  baby. We 're just laughing with her reactions.

the spoiled brat and the spoiler

After playing, we went to KFC for the merienda...

Here she is eating on her own. Everytime we're in KFC, i always order the strawberry yogurt Krusher for her because its her favorite. KFC has been our all-time favorite and our comfort food.

Blogging this makes me hungry and crave for the hot and crispy chicken with lots and lots of gravy...

PSP headset

Saturday.

We bought new headset for our PSP because i requested hubby to put lots of songs in it so i can bring the unit in our trip to Boracay. He even ask his friend to copy the songs from his pc to our unit. Before we went to SM center, we dropped-by at Byron's house to get the psp. Tami was excited to try the new games...

We want a general headset so i can use it also with my ipod.

Sayang nga lang kasi walang available na white...

Yogurt nation

Last week, we tried the newly opened Yogurt nation branch near our office here in The Fort. It was the first time that i saw this brand and that time we dont know what to expect inside their store.

Upon entering the place, you'll notice the 3 yogurt machine on the left side and they have 6 different flavors, you can choose what flavor you want and they also have the mixed flavors. We asked the staff on how to order and its self-service:

1. Get the size of the cup that you want.
2. Choose what flavor of the yogurt that you want and pour it in your cup.
3. Go to the toppings table and choose what you want.
4. Fall in line to the cashier and wait for them to weigh your cup with the yogurt and toppings inside, then you will know the amount you're going to pay.

My cup and i chose the strawberry yogurt.

My yogurt and i put lots of toppings (cereals, chocolate cookie, strawberry syrup, almonds, chocolates etc) and this amounted to P179.00... whew! i never thought that this will cost me more than a hundred grand..

In fairness, panalo nman ang lasa ng yogurt.. I love it.

Fitflop footwear

I was talking with grandma a while ago because they went to Antipolo to attend mass as their yearly tradition during May. And my cousin told me that they went to mall and she bought a new fitflop, wow nakikiuso na din lola ko...Well, she's not that fashionista lola that you see in Ayala malls or any high-end restaurants, lets just say that she's simple BUT all her things are branded, she goes and believes in quality over quantity. Sa kanya yata kami nagmana... She know different brands and know what is good for her. Anyway, back to the topic:

Fitflop footwear is biomechanically engineered to help tone and tighten your leg muscles while you walk in them.

What are the benefits of fitflop?

- increase leg, calf and gluteal muscle activity
- improve your posture
- mimic the gait of barefoot walking but with more muscle load
- improve muscle tone.

Fitflop. Get a workout while you walk. Isn't that fantastic?

Fitflop Pietra

Among the fitflop designs, i chose the Pietra because for me its the prettiest and fashionable. Perfect for everyday use. Can't wait to get my new pair...

What are you waiting for? Go and grab one!
