All Saints and All Souls Day in Laguna

One of the Philippine tradition is to pay a visit during All Saints/Souls day to our departed loved ones. Some even sleep in the cemetery and some are staying  for a couple of hours. Others say that during these time, all their family are present and it becomes their reunion. Families are preparing for food and flowers especially the candles. It was lit the whole day. With the chinese tradition, some offered fruits and food above or beside the tomb of their loved ones.

Nov. 1 (Sunday), we went home to Laguna to visit our place and at the same time go to cemetery to pay respect to our loved ones. We leave the house in the morning and we drop by the Burger King to have some breakfast.

kulitan moment...

Honestly, when we arrived in the cemetery the condition of the cemetery is not that good because of the typhoon Santi...

our musoleo - grandma did not even ask the painter to paint the musoleo because of the typhoon. good thing that on that day, the typhoon was gone and the good weather is starting to show.

Early dinner at Joey Pepperoni

After the trick or treat party at PLDT, we stayed at Quantum and play the game machines (i dont know how they called it). After we got tired and before we go home, we decided to have an early dinner at Joey Pepperoni Pizzeria. Ive been wanting to dine here for the longest time because I always pass-by everyday at Joey Pep in The Fort where my office is but last friday is the time i have the chance to stop and try it.

After we got our table, the staff handed us the menu...and i like what is written on the cover "How Pizza Should Be". Their menu composed of different variety of pasta, pizza, salad, appetizers and deserts.

Joey Pepperoni is not really spacious and the dining capacity is limited but i love the interior of the place.

After we ordered,we took some photos for my blog...

After a few minutes of waiting, our orders were served and here's what we've got:

Pollo Impanato e Patata Fritte (P180)

consists of chicken fingers with marinara dip and home-style fries.. The chicken fingers are perfectly deep-fried without being too-greasy.

Carbonara (P155)

Pepper cream sauce with bacon bits. Joey Pep's carbonara may not be the best that ive tried but its not bad either. As for me, their carbonara tastes like the carbonara made by my mother-in-law.

Joey Pepperoni Pizza (P165)

Their signature pizza loaded with gourmet pepperoni. Joey's crust is really thin and a bit crunchy...The pizza was good and its so affordable...

We also had their bottomless iced tea for P50 each.

As for those who want to try their promo, the Pasta-all-you-can for only P150.00. You can get refill of pasta in three different sauces which is the Pesto, Carbonara and the meatsauce. For those who love pasta and has big appetite, i know you can't resist this tempting offer.

And there's a teenage girl from Las Pinas that eat 9 plates of pasta. Who can dare and break her record?

Joey Pepperoni Pizza has branches at SM Malls and Bonifacio Global City...

Trick or treating at PLDT

I guess halloween is one of the much-awaited event of the year because its time to have fun and think of costumes especially for the kids when trick or treating at some of the places. It was also fun for the adults because it was nice looking at the costumes the children and sometimes the adults were wearing. Tami was lucky because kuya bing registered tami under his name for his company's trick or treat party. And i was her yaya that time...hehe

When we arrive at the office, tami is so likot that she wants to turn on the computer so she can play disney games, she don't know that games are not allowed in the office :)

Time to register and she get her name tag and its "MIEL" that they put on instead of tami...

my little witch is so shy to take the pose because of so many kids looking at her...

at the lobby, time to go to the assigned floors...

tami's so happy because she got tons of candies, her pumpkin is so full that i have to put some on our bag so she can carry her sweets...

When the trick or treat or giving candies is over, we stay in one place because they giving away the lunch, they serve lasagna, barbecue, spaghetti, waffle, krispy kreme and ice cream...Before we get our food, Tami changed her outfit because she sweats a lot because its too tiring going up and down the building...

my baby is now wearing her Snow White costume while eating her krispy kreme doughnut...

shes now waiting for her turn to get the ice cream..

After eating, the head of the department called our attention because the program will start. They're going to announce the best in costume, most scariest and they will have some games.

the kids are so cute on their costumes and some of the mommies are wearing costumes to match their kids...

tami is participating in the program and games even if she has a slight fever...

I know tami did really enjoy the party, thanks to my cousin for bringing tami to his office and of course for sponsoring her with the trick or treat registration fee.. hehe..

When we went home tami share some of the goodies to her cousins....

thanks kuya bing!
