Dinner at Yakimix

Everytime we pass by along Roxas Blvd, we noticed that this restaurant is always jampacked with people dining in. We wonder what's special about their menu that you have to call for reservation in order for you to get slot to dine. Last thursday, my cousin pick me up at the office at Bonifacio Global City (yes, our office relocate in Bonifacio Global City), we were talking of having dinner in MOA or along Macapagal and we try to walked-in at Yakimix. Since it's already 6:00pm, the branch manager allow us even if we don't call for reservation. (Maybe theres more slot available at that time).

Before we pigged out, let me say a few things about Yakimix. Its an eat-all-you-can restaurant and caters Japanese, Korean, Chinese and some Filipino dishes. So, if you love japanese, chinese and korean cuisine, you must love this place. Price is P580.00 per pax excluding drinks which you can also get for unlimited and costs P55.00. This is no left-over food because if you do, you'll pay P660.00 (not sure if it's 660.00 or 680.00). Dinner starts at 6pm until 10pm. They also serve lunch.

Since i love Maki, i took a photo of this buffet table with full of different kinds of Maki. My fave maki are Tamago kimchi (the best!), futomaki and sushi maki.

the dessert table with different kinds of baked sweets, on the other side of this table is the ice cream with different kinds of flavors, fruits, cakes, etc...

the salad bar

Since i overwhelmed with the japanese food, i forgot to take a shot with the Korean, Chinese and Filipino Buffet table. After taking some photos, i started to get my food since im already hungry.

My first batch of food - tempura, brocolli, yakisoba, different kinds of maki and of course, kimchi.

By the way, you can have some meat, prawns, squid etc. grilled in the middle of your table. It is very convenient for you to have grilled food right at your table.

Before eating and while waiting for our grilled seafoods, we ask the waiter if he can give us a shot, so here it is.

Kuya bing took this pic..

Cousin bing...

I love this place already because there are lots of different dishes to choose from, you're comfortable in a couch while dining, cheap price and the quality of food is excellent, very spacious place. You should give it a try!

Yakimix is located along the Roxas Boulevard and soon they will open their new branch near the World Trade Center. For reservation, you can call at 3878120 / 3878112. Before you go there, make sure to call.

Another typhoon (ONDOY/KETSANA) hit the Philippines

Typhoon Ondoy made hit the Philippines last Saturday (September 26). It brought heavy rainfalls and flood. Power communication and electricity went down, household residents are forced to stay in their rooftop in order to survive and wait for someone to rescue them, others decided to evacuate to high places.

Some roads are not passable because of the flood. Employees of private companies or government are reportedly stranded and some cause high traffic. Vehicles in some areas were submerged in the water, people died and lots of residents particularly in Ortigas, Marikina and Cainta is still seeking for help as their houses were destroyed by the raging waters.

Our place in Laguna was affected by the typhoon and when i called my brother, he says that the flood was in our house rising up to chest level, appliances were put to 2nd floor but the saddest thing is our big screen tv was not able to put upstairs because they don't have time anymore. I was lucky enough that Im now living in Las Pinas but we are also hit by the typhoon that causes are area to flood-up which is very unusual and first time to happen. We were staying in the 2nd floor of our house until the water subsides. Good thing that we don't have work on Saturday and I was able to help my in-laws in the house.

A state of calamity was declared by the Philippine government affected by the typhoon Ondoy. Let's all help and pray for the safety of others. Our nation were left shocked of what happen in our country.
